About

Poisoned apples. Glass slippers. Who needs 'em?!  Not Snow White and her posse of disenchanted princesses in the hilarious hit musical that’s anything but Grimm.  Forget the princesses you think you know – the original storybook heroines have come back to life to set the record straight.  After multiple sold-out runs nationwide, these royal renegades tossed off their tiaras to bring their hilariously subversive, not-for-the-kiddies musical to you – and what you thought about princesses will never be the same!

    Entertaining

by tinygreeneyes on 5/21/16Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

Good, light entertainment with predictable but enjoyable fun-poking at Disney's expense. It was well-staged and acted and just the right length.

    Hilarious!!!

by jedokids on 5/21/16Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

Really funny! Don't be a prude! This is a funny take on all the Disney Princesses and I love Disney just as much as everyone else! I had a great day in Chicago with my sister -- we took the train into Chicago (so easy and so cheap!), we had lunch at Mity Nice Grill in Water Tower (so delicious!) and then we saw this wonderful show! Great DAY!!!!

A Funny Premise, Well Executed by a Talented Cast

by DougR121 on 5/21/16Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

This was a delightful, irreverent and very funny spin on the traditional Disney princess concept. There was almost constant laughter throughout the show from the audience who obviously enjoyed the show as much as I. The cast was very talented and executed the funny script / lyrics with a lot of energy and they also engaged the audience drawing them into the overall experience. My ONLY complaint, which is the reason it did not receive a hearty five star rating, is that on a couple of occasions the orchestral music overpowered some of the song lyrics, which were hilarious, so I missed a couple of laughs. However, this was a minor issue as there were plenty of laughs to make the afternoon (I attended a matinee) an absolute pleasure. I highly recommend.

    Afternoon of fun

by orphanblackfan on 5/21/16Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

Six talented ladies performed an improv send up of Disney princess movies. Not suitable for under junior high age due to language and sexual references. The sound system at Broadway Playhouse needs work. Vocals sometimes overpowered by recorded music.

    Uninspired and Disenchanted!!!

by Angel2114 on 5/21/16Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

I was dissolutioned, disappointed, disenchanted and disengaged. After the third number, I was absolutely ready to run. One of the worst performances. Don't waste your time or money.

by Dalton00 on 5/20/16Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

We went into the show not really knowing what to expect and I am so glad that I bought these tickets. The show was so much fun, hilarious, and totally entertaining! Seriously I am thrilled we have the pleasure to see it. I wish wonderful things moving forward for the show and hopefully everybody has a chance to catch it when it is in their town.

    Loved It!

by Anonymous on 5/18/16Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

I didn't quite know what to expect from a fairy tale based scenario, so I was surprised and delighted as it started out on a very adult and irreverent note. The cast was amazingly talented, the pace fast, and the costuming bright and creative. I also felt the 2 poignant numbers added balance and strength to the points the princesses were making. Definitely chick or girls night out entertainment.

    So Fabulous

by Ikeys on 5/18/16The Broadway playhouse - Chicago

I laughed the entire hour and a half. My sides hurt when we left. The actresses are extremely talented and their vocal range was outstanding. Their facial expressions also steal the show! I am going to see it again before it leaves town, it is that good.

    Great show, super funny

by JerikaH1984 on 5/17/16Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

I totally recommend everyone go see Disenchanted! The show was hilarious! Each of the princesses had their own stories to tell, some better than others, but all skits together were great! It was a very short show compared to a usual musical, only an hour and 40 minutes. We went to a matinee and it went by quick. My only issue is with the merchandise. I bought a magnet but was grossly overcharged by accident...hoping it gets fixed soon enough.
