Dallas Stars History
The Dallas Stars began play in 1967 as the Minnesota North Stars, earning two trips to the Stanley Cup Final. They relocated to Dallas after the 1992-1993 season and dropped "North" from their name.
The team immediately brought a winning tradition to Dallas, making the playoffs four of its first five seasons. Then came the back-to-back seasons that Stars fans will remember forever. In 1998-1999, sparked by center Mike Modano (the franchise's all-time leading scorer), off-season addition Brett Hull, and goaltender Ed Belfour, the Stars swept through the playoffs to defeat the Buffalo Sabres and clinch their first Stanley Cup Championship. The following season, the Stars again made the Stanley Cup Final, but lost to the New Jersey Devils in six games.
The Stars made it to the playoffs six more times over the next seven seasons. The team earned the best regular season record in the Western Conference for the 2014-2015 season. The team went on to clinch additional playoff berths in 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023. They made it to the Final again in 2020, but lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game Six.
Since their arrival in 1993, the Stars are one of the most successful sports franchises in Dallas, making 18 postseason appearances and capturing eight division championships and two Presidents' Trophies.

We had an amazing time! We will be back again! Our family travelled from NB Canada to come watc Dallas play. Such a great experience for my whole family!
Dallas quickly silenced th NYR fans in attendance scoring 2 quick goals. However NY was relentless scoring 3 spectacular goals of their own and ended the 1st period with a 4-2 lead...which they never lost. The roar of the NYR fans in attendance was so loud it was almost like being in The Garden!
Great experience! Great game! Stars won 4 to 3 against the LA Kings!
Been to several stars games this season and all of them have been fantastic, win or lose. There are no bad seats at AAC
Great crowd atmosphere and the American Arline center is really nice
Great evening with great friends. 7 goals, an overtime win and a fight. A perfect night.
Had a wonderful night, my son had a blast. Wasn’t as cold as we excepted. Great seats are not really needed if taking young kids caught my son watching the Jumbotron more than the rink. Music was fun and team was fantastic. I recommend this as a fun family night out!
First time at a Stars game. Great seats, great price! Too bad they gave up a 3 goal lead
Had a great time watching NFL in the bar 👍 Regards, Bruins fan
Went to my first Stars game to see them play the Bruins. Great fun, highly recommend for family fun!! Price was right and I will gladly go back in the future.
Since I am a Capitals fan I loved every minute of this game! After the 3rd "Who Cares!" I could not stop laughing and the 5th one just made the night extra special. This was my first time experiencing a live hockey game and in turn the first time I have been able to see the Legendary Alex Ovechkin play. I can't wait for them to return and I plan on making it a yearly event to attend this particular game.
Great venue to watch a hokey game. Also right next to the entrance is a superb Sports Bar. Very convenient.
I adore the Stars I'll definitely be doing this again. I had was an absolutely wonderful time.
Went to this game with my brother in law and best friend. We had a blast! Love the atmosphere of the event and the team support by the fans. Highly recommend if you've never been before.
Great game, nice ushers, clean bathrooms, easy entry, DART bus service was non existent near the arena, Mockingbird Station had no elevator or escalator for the three story drop to the tracks.
My wife and I were going to take this trip because I had finally got her convinced to go with me to a Hockey Game. She got the flu that turned into pneumonia. So we didn’t go. This was not anyone at your or the Stars organization did. It just was what it was. I have used Ticketmaster more than once for Stars Tickets. I will again.
Had a great time at the Dallas Stars game! AAC was clean, had many options, and clear signage to get to our seats!
I have never bought tickets for a professional sports game and was very happy with my first experience through Ticketmaster
Just a very nice stadium and very good parking choices easy to get to and tis was our first time
