Cyndi Lauper is a pop singer and activist from Queens, New York. Upon the release of her 1983 debut album, She’s So Unusual, Lauper became a pop sensation, thanks to the success of Top 5 singles including “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” “Time After Time,” “She Bop” and “All Through the Night.” Lauper also won Best New Artist at the 1985 Grammys. Her second and third albums, True Colors (1986) and A Night to Remember (1989), added more hit singles like “True Colors” and “I Drove All Night” to her oeuvre and by the end the decade, Lauper had become synonymous with the ’80s new wave movement and synthpop sound. In addition to her twelve solo albums, Lauper also wrote the music and lyrics for the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Kinky Boots, for which she became the first solo woman to ever win the Tony for Best Original Score. In the fall of 2024, the singer embarked on her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour in conjunction with her documentary film LET THE CANARY SING.

Seeing Cindy Lauper in concert was a great experience for me and my sisters, we ❤️ it. Her voice and performance was incredibly beautiful. We would love to see her perform again ❤️
A classic artist with a huge fan following - I went with my girlfriend, who really wanted to see Cyndi one last time. We had good seats, and I generally like Shoreline as a venue. I am not a big Cyndi Lauper fan, but like a few of her songs from waaaaaayyy back when. She spent some times telling stories of growing up in NYC and how she came to be who she is, these were probably for me, the most entertaining part of the show. The fans were enthralled and they were as fun to watch as the show. Being in the Bay Area, and her having a huge following in the Gay + community, there were some pretty colorful folks in the crowd. For the big downer of the show, the mixing was HORRIBLE. I couldn't understand 90% of what she sang, and that is being generous. Drums and bass. Everything else seemed to get lost. For those that new every word to every song and was likely singing along, no big deal. For me, it made for a show that I mostly endured. Three stars because Cyndi was very personable with the audience, but otherwise, it would have been one.
This is the first time inquite awhile I attended the Farewell tour for an artist and, I must say, This was definitelya Grand Finale for a touring career. Coming in at 90 minutes and 12 or 13 songs, this is the shortest concert I attended for a major talent, but it wasn't actually a problem. The show was a spectacle winding through Cyndi's career. She literally changed costume and outfits for EVERY song. Along the way, she talked about her career highs and lows, and all of the sociaol causes she has championed and fought for.
After listening to Cyndi Lauper in the 80's finally took in a show. Glad to see her still around, belting out her hits and telling her stories. She was energetic and entertaining, so it was a good choice to put her on my need to see at least 1 time list. The opening "DJ"was perplexing, I'm not sure what I watched but I did know that it indicated it was time for a drink refill. The opening act was a mix between Elton John, Liberace, and perhaps John Mayer, entertaining in an (for me) unusual way but a decent voice and presence. Went for Cyndi and glad that I did.
I went to this concert thinking it would be a fun girls’ night. I didn’t expect much figuring she was getting on in years. Her energy was awesome. I love the fact it was more than a concert. It was an art show! Great visuals. I also liked learning more about her life. If she comes around again, I’m definitely getting tickets! Cyndi still rocks!
Love her! Loved the stories she told! Her voice is still great (maybe even better than in her youth,) She’s nostalgic, historic and the voice of my younger years. Glad to have seen her one last time! I’m thankful for the memories! Thank you, sweet Cyndi! 💜
The show was amazing but the lawn experience was frighting. I’ve been to shoreline before but I have never experienced so many pot holes in the line. I was scared to walk to the bathroom or even get a treat. I tried to stay out but even getting up to dance was freaking me out. My chair wasn’t really stable either. I had to keep moving it around to find somewhere where their wasn’t holes. I waited to leave and walked down to stairs very slowly but honestly please consider fixing the lawn or even making a cement path in the middle so people can walk.
Cyndi Lauper really put on a great show. The music, costumes, sets were all amazing, but what really made the show was her stories between songs and her personality that shined through the whole show. I’m so glad I got to see this. Really a wonderful show all the way around. Highly recommend not missing this.
10-11 year old me had Cyndi Lauper and Michael Jackson all over my walls. 11 year old me saw MJ, but never saw Cyndi. Music was with me through some hard times in life. That’s another story. Finally just after my 52st trip around the sun I saw Cyndi Lauper live!!! I have seen so many live shows, but this one was special on so many levels. I didn’t want the show to end.
