Before The Beatles, The Beach Boys or The Rolling Stones ever played a note, Rock 'n' Roll was forever changed by Buddy Holly, a 19-year-old kid from Texas. BUDDY — The Buddy Holly Story tells the true story of Buddy's meteoric rise to fame, from the moment in 1957 when "That'll Be the Day" hit the airwaves until his tragic death less than two years later. The show features more than 20 hits including "That'll Be The Day," "Peggy Sue," and "Oh, Boy!" Buddy will have you on your feet and "send you out of the theater on an unstoppable high" (The Boston Globe)!

Outstanding. The acting and music were of the highest quality. Thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable.
My friend and I are huge Buddy Holly fans and were very impressed with the performance...the energy and creativeness of Buddy Holly was spot on!
The musicians and singers are very talented, but the story is pretty thin. Dialogue and story line are not as engaging as the bass player who can play while lying on his instrument.
Saw the show on Saturday. It's a great musical and would highly recommend it .
I went with my 66 year old mom and my younger sister. It was entertaining for us all. We had such a blast. We were in Chicago for a Mother/Daughter weekend and we all said that if it comes to Minneapolis, MN, we will get tickets and see it again. GREAT JOB!!!
We enjoyed the production immensely. The cast was full of energy and very entertaining and the music was tremendous. A trip down memory lane. Highly recommend.
We attended the Saturday afternoon matinee. The show was very enjoyable. The songs brought back a lot of happy memories of that bygone time.
The music was good. The actors were talented and did well with what they had. This was not interesting, there was no storyline.
I knew the popular Buddy Holly songs, and some details of his death in a plane crash, but was never aware of the whirlwind of success leading up to his passing. The story was great, the performance was incredible. Highly recommend if you are a fan of song and stage or, if you're just looking for a good introduction to musicals, I think it's a wonderful show that won't disappoint.
If you love rock & roll do not miss this show. Story is interesting, acting/singing superb.
Though the Buddy Holly Story was a little before my time (not much) the songs are timeless. The singing was wonderful, acting fun, and together told a story of talent, adventure in music realized and tragedy.
The cast was very talented and the music was amazing.
Even though I was only 11-13 years old when he was popular and my family didn't listen to it in our home, his music resonated throughout my teenage years and the words and songs became timeless and played on throughout the 60s!
FUN, FUN, FUN ... happy, dancing, hand-clapping music ... Buddy Holly had an amazing amount of hits in his 2 year career ... audience was encouraged to dance and clap ... and you can't stop yourself from joining in ... everyone went out of there happy and humming the songs ... worth every penny!
I may not have been born back when Buddy Holly was alive but I thoroughly enjoyed myself while watching this musical. This was fun and the cast was so talented. It reminded me of the talent that we lost that night back in February. What could have been. Go see this musical while you can!
Glad we don't listen to the critics...we loved it!
Very entertaining! What a talented cast, they were awesome!
My husband and I really enjoyed the Buddy production. Great songs and very entertaining. The music made you want to get up and dance (and a few people did). Highly recommended.
I thought Buddy was just OK. The plot line was very dull. The songs were good, although not terrific. The actors playing The Big Bopper and Richie Valens were better than the one who played Buddy. It dragged too much, and for almost $100.00 per ticket, it was a ripoff.
