About

BRING IT ON: THE MUSICAL is the explosive new musical comedy that raises the stakes on over-the-top high school rivalries. Set against the world of competitive cheerleading, this powerhouse new show hilariously proves that winning isn't everything when it means losing something - or someone - you really care about.

BRING IT ON: THE MUSICAL unites some of the freshest and funniest creative minds on Broadway, including Tony Award-winning writer Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q); Tony Award-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda (In The Heights); Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning composer Tom Kitt (Next to Normal) and lyricist Amanda Green (High Fidelity); Tony Award-winning orchestrator Alex Lacamoire (Wicked); and Tony Award-winning director/choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler (In The Heights).

    Monotony musical!

by Sid101 on 3/22/14The Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Center - El Paso

Lack of sets. Monotony, lack of enthusiasm. Almost looked tired. Expected cheerleading musical with a bit more stunts coming from the movie of Bring It On.

    Bring it on was awesome!!!

You would think "bring it on" would lure a younger audience; not so in El Paso! The age group varied and as the music and dance sequences were well performed; the characters did not disappoint! The gymnastic routines were outstanding and absolutely flawless!

I bought these tickets to take my 14yr old step-daughter as I am trying to expose to the Arts. I was not expecting much but thought that she might relate to it better than some other musicals.... Surprise! We both LOVED IT!!! We were both so happy that we got to experience this production!

Bring It On was Funny, Lively & Yes, "Uplifting"!

by bernerlover on 4/3/12Cadillac Palace - Chicago

Although I always love musical theater, I would have returned to see this play immediately if I could. This was my most favorite modern play next to Wicked. Some plot lines followed the original movie, but most of the themes were new to me. I did wish that I had heard the soundtrack prior to the movie, because even though I was in the third row, I could not understand some of the song lyrics. Some of the banter between musical numbers was also hard to grasp. One of the reasons that play revivals are so popular is that everyone is already familiar with the lines.
