About

Active for nearly 40 years, Boston’s combination of hard progressive rock, phenomenal guitar work, and soaring vocals is still as riveting and relevant as ever.  In 2013, the acclaimed rockers dropped their sixth studio album – and first since the death of lead singer Brad Delp in 2007  – Life, Love & Hope. Delp sings on a handful of the tracks, while several other vocalists fill out the rest of the album. 2012 saw the band touring for ticket holders across the country, performing fan-favorite songs from their hit-filled back catalogue.

Boston’s self-titled debut album came out in 1976, catapulting the band to stardom with the smash singles “Long Time,” “More Than a Feeling,” and “Peace of Mind,” remaining on the Billboard charts for an astonishing 132 weeks and becoming the best-selling debut album in US history. After opening concerts for Black Sabbath, Blue Öyster Cult, and Foghat, Boston charted its own headlining tour and became the first band to play Madison Square Garden in their New York City debut. Their second album Don’t Look Back came out in 1978 and sold over seven million copies, with its title track reaching No. 4 on the charts. Boston’s third album Third Stage came out in 1986, expanding their sound with electronic drum samples, and remained the No. 1 album for four weeks on the strength of top 20 singles “Amanda,” “Can’tcha Say” and “We’re Ready.” 1994’s platinum-selling Walk On followed, as well as 2002’s Corporate America.

    Boston was great

by HDTGR69 on 9/30/17BJCC Concert hall - Birmingham

I went to see Boston to say I did, I figured with Brad Delph and others deceased or no longer with the band, it would be ok at best. MAN WAS I WRONG! This was one of the best concerts I've ever seen, the song selection was awesome, the music was soulful, Sounded like the 70's & 80's and the light show rocked my world. This was the biggest concert surprise I have ever had. My first Concert was ZZ Top in 1981 Loverboy opened for them. If you get the chance to see Boston, take it, Tommy DeCarlo does have the pipes to hit the Brad Delph notes.

    Apathetic

    by Not4Nuthin on 8/16/17TD Garden - Boston

Sorry fans, but this was a downer for me in some ways: the lead singer is phenomenally talented but he sooooo lacks stage presence/exuberance; he just schlepps back and forth on the stage while he sings like there's no giant crowd out there. Also, it was too heavily "The Tom Scholz Show". Having what's left of Boston the band at the Boston Gahden was thrilling and felt like the old days though.

    Awesome Boston!

by BostonFanNJ on 8/7/17BB&T Pavilion (Formerly Susquehanna) - Camden

WMGK house band Kategory 5 kicked off a great night of rock & roll. Joan Jett & the Blackhearts proved they can rock with the best. Boston had the place rocking all night. Both Joan Jett and Boston played song, after song with very little talk in between. From one great song right into another. It was just one great night.
