BLUE MAN GROUP AT THE LUXOR
Before Blue Man Group was astounding audiences in Las Vegas and beyond, the founding members were entertaining crowds in Manhattan's Lower East Side. By 1991, Chris Wink, Matt Goldman, and Phil Stanton had a full show at Astor Place Theatre. Blue Man Group's big break arrived in 2000 with their addition to the Las Vegas line-up at The Luxor. Internationally, Blue Man Group has had show runs in cities from Sydney to Vienna. In 2017, Blue Man Group was purchased by the circus-like show Cirque du Soleil to be expanded. The genius of the Blue Man Group has been rewarded with the Obie Award, Off-Broadway Alliance Award, and Drum! Magazine Readers Choice Award. Currently in residency in The Luxor Las Vegas, Blue Man Group also has shows in Boston, New York, Orlando, and Chicago.
ABOUT THE SHOW
Formed in 1991, The Blue Man Group has made the transition from a performance group to an iconic Las Vegas experience. In fact, it's one of the longest-running shows in Sin City. The Blue Man Group live puts on a multi-sensory show integrating percussion and instrumental music, vibrant neon lights, and a variety of tricks using props and water. The actors faces are painted in a signature blue paint, and their signature all-black outfits add to the drama. Let yourself escape into a world of magic as the artists integrate live rock music with slight of hand and use of unexpected props. The group has made its mark on pop culture, with references to the production appearing in storylines on shows from Arrested Development to Scrubs. The groups recordings include "The Complex" album from 2002 which features Dave Matthews and Gavin Rossdale, and "THREE," an instrumental album released in 2016.
I'm not trying to be rude, just giving my own honest opinion..... Always heard great things about Blue Man Group so decided to go see the trio in Las Vegas. It was, ok.... Honestly, I didn't really care for it. It had a couple kinda sorta comical parts, if it wasn't so very loud with all the flashing strobe lights, I probably would've fallen asleep. I would much rather have the $165 I paid for 2 tickets but I guess at least I can say, yea I saw the Blue Man Group!!
First time seeing BMG for me and the 2nd for my husband. My husband said the show hasn’t changed in 20 years. I was very disappointed. There was LOTS of wasted time walking around the audience staring at people for no real purpose other than getting to 90 minutes of “shows time. There are lots of great shows in Vegas and I do not recommend this one.
I saw Blue Man Group in 2011 and it was amazing. A great storyline, high interaction, genuinely funny… I just them again in Vegas and was so unimpressed. It’s an uninspired show. The comedy is for 10 yr olds, the show has no coherency or story arc, the lighting is INTENSE but doesn’t match the intensity of the music… it’s a confusing experience. In Vegas, you expect the best. I think BMG USED to be something big. No anymore.

Fantastic family experience. Loved every minute of it.

First time to Vegas and first Blue Man Group experience. Wow! Loved the music, strange instruments like pvc pipes and amazing percussion and lighting and use of video screens. Less impressive was the quirky slapstick comedy bits like munching Captain Crunch and strutting around awkwardly for creepy effect. Sometimes the comedy works great, like the Twinkie bit with the audience member. That was hilarious, but it fell flat at other moments. All the raucous music was spectacular - my favorite parts for sure!
They are so funny and it never gets old. Everything they do is just pure entertainment.
I e been really wanting to see this group live for a long time instead of just watching on YouTube. While in Las Vegas, I was fortunate enough to see them with my daughter. We can’t begin to express how pleased we were with their performance. This group is simply amazing! So much talent it should be illegal. I wish we got vip tickets to meet them. Next time. We highly recommend these performers. We shall return 😁
This show was confusing, kind of like watching napoleon dynamite. No idea what the point was. The kids in the audience thought it was hilarious but our group of gals couldn’t sit through the whole thing.
The Blue Man's Group was amazing!!! A must see in Vegas! We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and they made it so special! Everyone on staff was amazing! The show was funny and entertaining!!!

Great show. Can be loud at times so if that will cause you discomfort get the noice canceling device that the team offers.
Blue Man Group has always been a grwat show, seen them a few times in past years. Lots of fun!
Worst show ever, they play drums, it’s ok but it’s very loud, nothing special. It’s total waste of money.
Blue Man Group does not disappoint. Very entertaining and fun for all ages. Our group of women from three generations loved it!
I took my Granddaughter to Vegas to celebrate graduation from High School. We went to see Blue Man Group. We loved it! We enjoyed the audience participation and how talented musically they are.
The show was weird, confusing, severely boring quite often, and gross quite often. There wasn't any concept, any story, or any plot. Just 3 guys doing weird acts, which most of time didn't receive any applause from the audience and it was awkwardly silent.
