About

New Orleans R&B singer/songwriter August Alsina's debut single "I Luv This Sh*t" was all over the radio in late 2013, reaching the top of Billboard's Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart after a 21-week climb.  Alsina may be new to the game, but he's already attracting high-level attention – R&B superstar R. Kelly tapped Alsina to open for him on some of his 2013 live tour dates, so the young star has already found himself playing concerts to arena-sized crowds. As a headliner, Alsina established himself as a formidable performer at  raucous club dates and radio station showcases in 2013, impressing ticket buyers with a confidence that belied his relatively recent arrival. The hip-hop crooner's career has been on the fast track since he released his first mixtape The Product in April of 2012. A second mixtape, dubbed The Product 2 was released a year later, followed soon after by his first Def Jam Records EP Downtown: Life Under the Gun. In a report on one of Alsina's 2013 shows, The New York Daily News wrote that he "had ladies in the front row clawing at him as he rocked the stage."

Fall Back In Love Comedy Tour/ Music Jam❤️‍🔥

    by Malaye on 3/13/23

first of all, let me start by saying that August is my favorite artist ever. now yes this man is fineeeeee, but that ain’t the reason why (not wholly anyways). 😂 August has gotten me through some of the roughest parts of my life. he continues to make art that resonates with not only myself but other fans as well, and I will always love and support him for that! now, I got to see Jacquees, Mario, Trey Songz, and Monica as well, but truthfully, I attended for August only. he opened with “Kissing On my Tattoos”, “Ghetto”, then sang a little bit of “Do You Mind”, and “Hold You Down”. for the remainder of his performance, August brought out Ha Sizzle, Deeno, and Zu. one thing i will always respect and love about August is his heart. he puts others on to get their shine & he has always been about showing love. ❤️🙏🏾

    The LOVE that keeps going....

    by Stacy on 1/20/23

Where do I start? It all began in Houston, Tx - May 9th, Mother's Day. Next stop, NOLA for Flippen Friday. Then, back to H-Town for August's birthday, September 3. I followed him back to ATL to wrap up the birthday weekend. And last but not least, my birthday, September 17, it was Chi-town. Is he worth it? ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!

    by Brie on 2/25/22

I've had the pleasure of seeing him twice; for the UR experience Tour at the United Center in 2014 and Don't Matter Tour at the House Of Blues in 2017. He's incredibly talented and never disappoints! I'm hoping he has a meet and greet soon so I can finally meet this amazing man ❤️ HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

August Alsina - Matter Not to Keep Audience Waitin

by toptrips on 9/2/17The Fillmore - San Francisco

The show was supposed to start at 8pm. The two opening acts kept it together and on time. Then after a long wait a DJ started playing and just kept on an on, a very long set, maybe killing time for August to get it together to perform. Then after another super-long wait (everyone around us was complaining of the wait and the floor audience kept getting verbal about it), and close to midnight, August Alsina finally started singing. We saw two songs and then hit the road since it was getting so late during a weekday. We could REALLY have done without such long breaks. We would have liked to have seen the show but after such a long break everyone around us was leaving and/or were catatonic.

Because i missed him at the BET EXPERIENCE and it was my birthday month, going to his concert is the best gift my parents could have given me. I got the pleasure of meeting him backstage for the meet and greet.
