About

For English metalcore act Asking Alexandria, years of extensive touring paid off in 2013 when their third album From Death to Destiny debuted at No. 5 on The Billboard 200. Tapped by Korn as a supporting act on their 2013 tour, Asking Alexandria quickly earned a reputation for their amped up live show, resulting in a series of headlining concerts with Sevendust, All That Remains, and others. The band's touring success in 2013 continued an already-successful run on the road – in 2012, fans clamored for tickets for their sold-out club dates in North America and the U.K., which drew praise for their mosh pit-inducing energy. Asking Alexandria's roots go back to 2003, when guitarist Ben Bruce helmed the group's first incarnation in Dubai. In 2008, Bruce returned home to England and formed an entirely new group, while retaining the Asking Alexandria name. After signing with indie label Sumerian, the band released its debut album Stand Up and Scream in 2009, and followed it up in 2011 with Reckless & Relentless, which peaked at No. 9 on The Billboard 200. Asking Alexandria's current lineup includes Bruce, vocalist Danny Worsnop, guitarist Cameron Liddell, bassist Sam Bettley, and drummer James Casells.

Not the venue for a big name rock concert…

by Disappointed on 5/5/24The Bluestone - Columbus

Saw AA at the Bluestone in Columbus on 5/1/24. I was so excited to see them as they had cancelled twice previously at Ink and shocked to see they were playing a small venue like the Bluestone. It was definitely sold out but I was not impressed… There were 4 bands on the bill and I don’t know if the sound people just sucked or the acoustics aren’t ideal for a rock show, but they all sounded awful. Couldn’t hear the singers over the music all night unless they were screaming. As for the venue itself, it was beautiful, but that’s about it. It was hot as hell on the floor, up in the balcony, and especially in the bathrooms. $5 for a bottle of water lol and no idea what alcohol cost was because I wasn’t drinking.

    Amazing show!

    by WolfiesKitten820 on 5/3/24Roxian Theatre - Pittsburgh

Really loved how close we were to the stage even though it was a small venue it was a great price for tickets for general admission to be so close to the bands. The venue was very clean including the bathrooms. And all the bands sounded amazing! My husband and I had a great time!

It was beautiful, the staff was great!

by HuntieK on 5/3/24Roxian Theatre - Pittsburgh

Although the venue was a little small, the staff was amazing in making sure everyone was safe. There was a staff member I believe his name was Chris, he was great. He was working by the stairs as well as a short woman with blonde hair and an average height woman with orange hair. (I forgot their names). They were all amazing working by the steps and really kept people from being overcrowded or hurt!

    Muffled vocals

by Upper deck on 5/3/24Roxian Theatre - Pittsburgh

Memphis may fire was great. AA the vocals sounded muffled and overpowered by the music. Seemed like some audio issues. They reset something and the vocals improved but then was the same. Probably equipment or not checking during the event.

AA @ the roxian in PA

by bee on 5/3/24Roxian Theatre - Pittsburgh

honestly, i was pretty disheartened to write this, but it wasnt the greatest show ive attended. the openers were amazing, but danny was kind of disappointing. i understand that playing night after night gets repetitive & it strains on you, but he really didnt hit the notes at all. he kept the same tone for most of the show & it was unlike him at all. i seen him two years back & was so excited to see him again, but it fell flat. and the sound techs at the roxian were not great at all, been to two shows prior to this one & the sound techs always play the other instruments way too loud over the vocalists.

    Asking Alexandria

by Patches1833 on 5/1/24Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center (HMAC) Capitol Room - Harrisburg

It sucked to be completely honest. Concert was supposed to start at like 6 or 630 didn’t start until after 7 and I had to leave by 945 because of having to get home to go to bed for work the next day. I knew I wasn’t going to get to see all of them, but I was hoping for a few songs, but nope, didn’t even get that. So, yeah, it blew and they are one of my favorite bands, because of their music video for someone somewhere. I was in the Marines and that was the same MOS I had.
