The venue was great. However, the show and VIP pre show looked like the put very little money and time into it. Maybe it was the hype around finally going to an American idol concert or the amount of money spent on tickets and flying in from another state but I was sadly disappointed. The kids, or “idols” acted unprofessional throughout the meet and greet and the show. We pay a lot to go and then they can’t be bothered to at least look presentable for the photo-op or not talk to one another on stage instead of actually singing. The next disappointment was that we’ve been to a meet and greet with idol before (season 8) and we were actually allowed to meet one on one with the idols, ask questions, and get signatures. This was not the case at the show this year, it was not worth the extra money just to get a goodie bag and hear two half way sung songs. Thennnn there was the fact that Jurnee wasn’t there, Maddie was sick and could barley sing, and the opener wasn’t the advertised boy band. The actual show was 1 American idol sign that lit up with the singers coming out in front and signing while the other singers were backup singers and band, so they couldn’t even put money into a proper band to tour with them. I love American idol but I will not be wasting my money on the live show in the future.
