    Terrible Show

by Groovinmurph on 9/10/18Rosemont Theatre - Rosemont

This show was awful! The sound was so distorted from the ridiculous base that it was literally miserable listening to it. I will never return to this venue. The show looked amateur at best with no choreography and boring costumes. It looked like a bunch of kids putting on a high school talent show. Soooo disappointing. We left early and I felt sorry for my 11 yr old son that was not happy. Also a waste of $200. Would love to get a refund but that will never happen as I can't even get a hold of anyone at venue to complain.

    Idol was great

by saabear on 9/10/18Deadwood Mountain Grand - Deadwood

I loved the singers in the opening act. Never heard of them but the were great. The only thing that I didn’t like with idol is where was the oncore. I believe this is the only act that I have ever seen in my lifetime that didn’t have an encore. That’s all she wrote.

    Just average

by JanFe on 9/10/18Rosemont Theatre - Rosemont

While I enjoyed the singing the staging left a lot to be desired! Just a metal platform with stairs on either end and a lighted American Idol sign. They can do better!

    Awesome!

    by Fun127 on 9/10/18Rosemont Theatre - Rosemont

We loved the American Idol show! We watched the entire season and were just thrilled to see the performers in person. They are all very talented and any one of the top 7 could have been the winner! My 11 year old son loved it as much as my 81 year old mom did! We will follow their careers and hopefully see them again!

Great show but skip the warm up act

    by dinom99 on 9/10/18Rosemont Theatre - Rosemont

Show was great but warm up act was not very good and too long (over 1/2 hour). We came to see idols not a second rate group that warmed audience up. It was a cool off.

    Slow transitions but entertaining

by AmericanIdolFever on 9/10/18Rosemont Theatre - Rosemont

The talent and the entertainmentm was great, but the transition from one song to the next was Awkwardly quiet.

    Room For Improvement

by cyannette on 9/10/18Rosemont Theatre - Rosemont

The venue was great. However, the show and VIP pre show looked like the put very little money and time into it. Maybe it was the hype around finally going to an American idol concert or the amount of money spent on tickets and flying in from another state but I was sadly disappointed. The kids, or “idols” acted unprofessional throughout the meet and greet and the show. We pay a lot to go and then they can’t be bothered to at least look presentable for the photo-op or not talk to one another on stage instead of actually singing. The next disappointment was that we’ve been to a meet and greet with idol before (season 8) and we were actually allowed to meet one on one with the idols, ask questions, and get signatures. This was not the case at the show this year, it was not worth the extra money just to get a goodie bag and hear two half way sung songs. Thennnn there was the fact that Jurnee wasn’t there, Maddie was sick and could barley sing, and the opener wasn’t the advertised boy band. The actual show was 1 American idol sign that lit up with the singers coming out in front and signing while the other singers were backup singers and band, so they couldn’t even put money into a proper band to tour with them. I love American idol but I will not be wasting my money on the live show in the future.

    American Idol Live

by Ehane on 9/8/18State Theatre - Minneapolis

I did not care much for the opening act. Years ago there never was an opening act at the American Idol concert so it took me by surprise. I think the 6 that were there all did a good job. I still think Gabby screams too much.

    Average

by Superidolfan on 9/8/18Rosemont Theater - Chicago

Michael T is too frenetic on stage- very distracting., Katy T. poorly performed "Havana." and Maddie Poppe was missing most of the time (due to reported throat problems?). Maddie had less stage time and sang fewer songs than others. Plus, there was no encore. Despite these issues, the show was fairly entertaining with Chris Allen's rendition of "Once" and Caleb, Chris, and Maddie's interpretation of "Rainbow Connection.".

    American Idol was terrible

by Beenmoonie on 9/8/18State Theatre - Minneapolis

We thought we were buying tickets to see Kris Allen of whom we have seen before and he is amazing. Instead the majority of the performances were the American Idol finalists - Kris Allen was the MC. I blame the way it was marketed on the Bandsintown app. Kris Allen is better than this- he needs to tour on his own - he doesn’t need to hang on the coat tails of American Idol.

    Terrible opener and excessive lighting

by Anonymous on 9/8/18State Theatre - Minneapolis

The opening act was a generic boy band straight out of Disney Channel. They got a 40 minute set with a 10 minute intermission before the main set with the American Idol contestants started. The openers sucked the energy out of the crowd and very few seemed interested in them. The idol contestants were good, but the spotlights were used excessively and were distracting. Overall the show was OK, but the boy band should have gotten no more than 3 songs so that the American Idol contestants could have a few more songs instead.

    American Idol Live 2018

Proformers were so/so. It was geared towards a very young crowd. If you have young children, they will love it.

My wife and I throughly enjoyed the American idol singers. They did a great job and we had a wonderful time. My only qualm was the terrible opening act.

    American Idol Tour

by Sky111111111 on 8/30/18Murat Theatre at Old National Centre - Indianapolis

I really liked the show. They are so talented. One thing that could be changed was the lighting - the white lights were really bright and they faced the audience sometimes while they were playing - I had to cover my eyes because they were blinding. It was only the white lights in back of their platform. Maybe it was the balcony that was having the trouble. It distracted from them playing.

    American Idol was awesome!

by MTP11 on 8/27/18The Palace Theatre Albany - Albany

We were a little concerned about the area surrounding The Palace Theatre. But we had prepaid for parking, and the attendants were all so great and helpful! One of them even told us where we could go for a bite to eat before the concert. The theatre is historically beautiful and had a great sound system. The performers were all very entertaining! I preferred the performances that did not use the piped in music...the music sometimes overpowered the singers. At American Idol concerts in the past, I believe a band was present, but can't really remember for sure. But other than that, I would attend another event at the theatre! And the singers were all so talented!
