Great show! Second time seeing them and it was well worth it.
Always an AWESOME experience. Well worth the money.
My daughter an I try to come to the show every year. Just an amazing performance.
I had an awesome time and picked even better seats this time around. The dance company was amazing and the performance flowed. I loved seeing the history in the show. Great Job!
I liked the mixture of the different dance styles, movements, and tempos. It kept you very interested throughout the whole performance.
Seeing this performance is an opportunity of a life time!!! OMG! The wonderful grace, skill, presentation, creativity, and artistic components makes this a MUST SEE for the ENTIRE family. I commend the extremely hard work of everyone whom put together this extraordinary production. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Bravo to everyone and continue to lift up the art!
An exhilarating performance . Dance routines were executed flawlessly! BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO
The show was fantastic! The choreography exemplified why this dance troupe has sustained itself over 50 years. Beautifully executed with and without the musical score! My intention is to attend an Alvin Ailey event annually! Absolutely loved it!!
This is a must see show. I loved the performance and the venue.
I have come to see Ailey every year for the past 10 years. Over the years, I think I have been to a performance on each night. This year, I attended the Sunday matinee show. I was slightly less than amazing. The new pieces Three Black Kings and The Hunt were spectacular. The Hunt was a powerfully choreographed piece. However, Revelations was slightly disappointing. I could tell that many of the new Ailey members were performing and the passion just seemed to not be there. One of the signature moments during "Fix Me Jesus" was disappointing. The dancer was supposed to do a full front arabesque and full turn and got only a fourth of the way around before dropping her leg. There were also other noticeable mistakes made in Revelations. Nothing that first time viewers would notice, but definitely noticed by faithful Ailey lovers seated around me. Overall, the performance was good as usual. Only this year, it just barely falls short of a phenomenal performance. Ailey continues to be a "must see" when they visit Atlanta.
At first I was skeptical about even going to the performance, but at the end of the show I had to say that it was amazing and hands down the best show I have ever attended. Definitely worth every penny.
Always a treat to see. I go almost every year and every year it feels as if I'm seeing them perform for the first time. The Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre is incredible!!!
Great show! Loved every second. The "Revelations" piece was so moving; it literally gave me goosebumps!
This event was just awesome. I have seen the Alvin Ailey dancers many many times throughout my life, however this night was incredible. I'm sure the energy behind the 50th Anniversary celebration of Revelations contributed to the greatness. I believe this was the first time that I had a spiritual encounter as I watched Revelations in particular during the "Put on My Long White Robe" number. "The Hunt" was also a great new number. Everything was just so very good!!!!!!
Expected so much more, to me looked like a high school performance
Awesome performance. The symmetry was perfect and the film gave an excellent account of Alvin Ailey
The performance was simply amazing. Revelations is a timeless classic and its hard to believe its over 50 years old.
"The Hunt" performance was awesome! This time around I saw all new performances and the classic "Revelations" piece was just divine, Happy 50th Season! My hats off to Judith Jamison and congrats on endless innovations in dance to the Ailey dance Theater!
