    Quite noisy

by Sean on 5/28/24Charles Playhouse - Boston

There were several high school groups present that made the performance noisier than usual.

I was not sure what to expect, but, I was absolutely floored! There was not ONE moment where I was NOT entertained. The audience interaction, the music, the inventiveness, creativity and talent was beyond!! I will definitely be back to see this again!!

    Unusual

by Blesserman on 4/30/24Charles Playhouse - Boston

The Blue man Group performance is excellent for someone wanting something different. They are highly skilled in a few things. (I have never seen anyone so skilled at throwing and eating marshmallows as they are.) Audience participation is expected for parts of it. Having only been once, I do not know if the show varies, or is basically the same each time. Of course, when the audience is showcased, that changes the dynamic. I recommend going as a group, because having someone to express surprise with, or did you notice this? enhances the experience. I wondered how they could do this three times a day. Then, I realized that since the three blue men never say a word, that everything they do they do with expressions and actions and a futuristic computer narrator, even if one of them was tired, no one in the audience would be able to tell.

Great show and great to meet!!!

by Donna on 4/23/24Charles Playhouse - Boston

So much fun!!! We had the poncho seats and our grandchildren (7 & 10) loved the show. Entertaining and the audience participation was fun. We upgraded to VIP and got to meet two of the three men. They were so nice and didn’t rush us at all!!! So personable - we had a great time speaking with them and they were so attentive to our grandchildren. Would definitely recommend the show, the poncho seats and the upgrade to meet them afterwards. All in all a great afternoon!!

    Fun, funny, creative, rockin'!

    by TBW-Boston on 4/23/24Charles Playhouse - Boston

People have been telling me to see this show since I was in my 20's and here I am finally seeing it in my late 40's. I'd definitely love to see it again and recommend it to anyone living or visiting Boston. So to put it simply, it was a great show! Loved all the elements of music, visuals, the "joking"nature of the actors, the interactive elements and including the audience. I really also liked how small the theater is so you can see and hear everything wherever you are. My partner and I took our 8 year old who loved it! I think if our kiddo had been any younger they might not have liked it, or may have been too loud and dark (maybe?). Of course my kid's experience is not the same for every kid. So who knows. But I definitely think 8 and up is a safe bet. It's fun and worth it!
