OK, not great
Wilbur Theatre - Boston
Dave seemed to just be going through the motions this time. Not a lot of energy... I've seen him better before. His opener was a mumbler, and that coupled with the sound system that wasn't loud enough, made both acts tough to follow if there was any crowd noise at all.

Dave Attell is my Hero
Wilbur Theatre - Boston
Dave Attell is like that alcoholic uncle that you never had. He is a blast to be around and you can tell he is a real person, he doesn't try to hide his imperfections instead he uses them and turns them into damn good comedy. When we laugh at Dave Attell's jokes about himself we are also really laughing at ourselves a little bit too. My only regret is that I didn't get completely wasted with Dave.

Dave Attell killed again!
Wilbur Theatre - Boston
Dave Attell never disappoints. This was the fourth time I've seen him live, and his material is ALWAYS original and fresh. He had the entire Wilbur Theatre crowd laughing from start to finish, and he must had done about an hour long set. Do yourself a favor and never miss the opportunity to catch Mr. Attell live.

Dave is hilarious as always
Wilbur Theatre - Boston
There aren't a lot of comedians out there that can keep a room laughing start to finish like Dave Attell can. He starts strong and doesn't stop for over an hour. He does a nice job of mixing prepared material with on the spot interaction with the audience. At the end of the show he asked the audience what they were drinking that night. When one fan said, "jaeger and root beer" Dave replied, "What ferris wheel do you run?"

Dave was at his best this time around!
Wilbur Theatre - Boston
So, my girlfriend and I get there WAY early, just after they began letting people in. We're among the first bunch of people at the WIlbur Theater, and the only folks down in front (in the tables section). Dave comes strolling down the aisle, looked at us and said "Hey, guys! very politely. Excellent! We had no idea who was going to open for Dave. It was Mike <sorry, we couldn't make out the last name when announced>, also from NYC. He was excellent, too! After 15 minutes of side-splitting material, Mike introduced Dave... Dave took a few moments to feel out the crowd, mentioning how it was no easy show (the sun was still up, no booze in then venue and the stage had a plain, black backdrop!)... He won over the crowd with some Boston-specific references and realized the crowd was truly there to have fun, so he went for broke. After that, he just went wild and so did the crowd. Dave was on fire, with some of his dirtiest, most irreverent material ("You guys actually GET all of these references!") He started strong and finished even stronger. This was the best show of the three times I've seen Dave Attell live. I'm already looking forward to his return to the Boston area!

Give me a cup of coffee, hold the lies.

Dave Attell was hilarious and quick last night. He is a dirty, dirty comic, but some of my favorite points were the impromptu comments to the audience - "you're on your first date!? well she's wearing yellow, that's good. Red would be "Stop", yellow means "proceed with caution"". He has so many great, twistedly funny ideas. And it gave me ideas too ... hmm a shrine to vibrators, using Barbie furniture. Good idea, Dave. The audio was bad though - we were in the back and the mic was too soft a lot of the time to hear over the loud laughers near us.
