ZHU launched as an anonymous electronic music project for Bay Area producer Steven Zhu, but has risen steadily over a decade to reach global headlining notoriety. ZHU’s musical venture began in 2014 with the release of his debut EP The Nightday, led by the deep house single “Faded,” which charted on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording in 2015. The producer expanded his scope on 2015’s Genesis Series EP, featuring crossover collaborations with AlunaGeorge, Skrillex and Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony, before releasing his 2016 debut solo album, Generationwhy, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. ZHU’s 2018 follow-up Ringos Desert boasted collaborations with Tame Impala and Majid Jordan, and he released joint singles with Sofi Tukker, DJ Snake, Tinashe, and Jeremih. ZHU’s third album, Dreamland 2021, marked his sixth Top 20 release on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. In 2023, ZHU unleashed singles like “Revelations” and “Changes,” and his fourth album, Grace, is set to arrive in 2024.

The original location unfortunately had an emergency, so they Move the locations which was kind of a bummer but not the end of the world. They said that doors are @7 the opener goes on at eight they headliner goes on at nine and the show is now over at 10:15 which is a pretty early show for a Saturday night, I showed up at 7:30 the 8 o’clock performance was already playing. They ended at eight in the headliner came on at 8!! an hour early and ended 15 minutes before., I showed up at 7:30 the 8 o’clock show was already playing. They ended at eight and the headliner came on an hour early and ended at 9:45. 30 minutes before they said what was scheduled the day before. I paid $65 for a GA ticket. no VIP was offered and if I hadn’t trusted my gut and shown up when I did, I would’ve missed half of the headliner performance. The performance was great.. the communication o. Set times was far off.. if I would have shown up at 8:30 I would have missed all of the opener and 30 minutes of the headliner due to the misinformation.
Was great show great energy great music ……..!!!!!!
Everything was phenomenal. Sooo much room. You can see the stage from every angle in the building!! So much fun. I loved it
I love Zhu and this was a great show. Security was efficient and drink lines moved quick. I don't know what else you could ask for!
It was truly an amazing experience wise. But the music and scales were off many a times.
His set was very engaging, sound was phenomenal, bass was felt and heard, didn't know he sang live, overall phenomenal.
The crowd for Zhu at Bill Graham was not for me. And Zhu just loved himself instead of performing. No good visuals or anything. Just him on stage singing in black.
I need more info on when Zhu is actually coming on so I can plan my day I wasn’t sure when he was coming so I missed a part of his set
Zhu brought the whole band out—if you like a show where everyone dances and nobody fights, then don’t miss zhu! Vibes were immaculate, lighting was insane and the music transported us to another dimension where you get to dance your face off in “church”. 🎉🎉🎉
This was a horrible show for me. Why does every dj want to play in a band and sing? Also, you should have definitely checked your sound levels before having the show. Your highs were too high. It was piercing. Also, flashing lights are only so cool… where are the lasers? Overall it wasn’t what I was expecting and I would say it was bad. Also test pilot was also bad.
Not what I expected. Awesome to the him sing his own songs and the live music was awesome. Venue was packed. One of the best shows I seen all year
Purchase and delivery of tickets was so easy! Zhu performance overpassed my expectations! Best time I’ve had with my friends in a long time.
Expected more of a dj set but it was an actual concert. Great show, it really showed Zhu’s talents from all the instruments he played, to singing his own songs. Showcased his band’s talents as well.
what an amazing performance. incredible! such a great vibe the entire night. Zhu and his live band put on a show that will forever bring a smile to my face and make me feel all emotional.
Sound was terrible at this venue. It was too loud and just ruined the experience of me.
I really enjoyed his set and the story he told musically. I was surprised he had a band and sang live.
ZHU completely surprised me. I love his music and appreciate it now more than ever! He brought his band out and hearing it all so raw and live was amazing. He would sing his songs, mix his set and have you dancing.. go down to play with his band and go all hard metal and mix it in with EDM. Unlike anything I’ve experienced. I was tempted to buy a ticket to his San Fran show the next night LOL! Go see him!
Great show by ZHU. Live drums, guitar and sax really brought the show to life. Noisy didn’t get the crowd he deserved though, need another opener!
4th time seeing ZHU, this was by far the best absolutely outstanding performance. The sound system was also on point! 🔥🔥
