    AMAZING. NATURAL PERFORMER.

    by A. M. on 9/23/23

I was lucky enough to witness this beautiful person opening up for Lana Del Rey and my sibling and I were ASTONISHED by her voice, guitar skills, stage presence, dancing. I cannot. I literally cannot. All I could think about is one day she’s gonna be even bigger and I have the privilege of saying “hey, I saw her when she was opening for Lana Del Rey!” The best, and I wish Zella the best. Have a great time with her, world.

Zella Day was engaging & energetic

    by Boston2013 on 7/12/16The Sinclair - Cambridge

Zella Day put on a very good show Saturday night at the Sinclair. She has grown a lot since her show there last year. She was all over the stage, on her knees, in the crowd, etc. It was a lot of fun. The sound system at the Sinclair was not great.

    Zella was on fire !

by Chudster on 7/11/16The Foundry - Philadelphia

I went to the concert not expecting much , but boy was I blown away . They were great performers and there singing and instrument playing were awesome . Zella was very interactive with the crowd and at one point sang exclusively to a young girl that was there . I would definitely recommend seeing them !

    Zella shone at the Foundry

by Zellafan on 7/11/16The Foundry - Philadelphia

Zella was, in short, amazing. Her stage presence and charisma were very memorable, and she interacted with the audience beautifully. The venue itself was stunning. My only complaint was that fans sometimes drowned out her vocal when she performed some of her biggest hits (i.e. East of Eden). It was frustrating, despite also knowing the lyrics I wanted to hear her voice, after all it was what I paid money to see. In spite of this Zella herself was spectacular. So much soul and heart that the album hints at was poured out during the live show, totally recommend.

    Zella Day was insanely amazing!!

    by kairos99 on 7/11/16The Foundry - Philadelphia

Although a small venue, this concert was the best I have ever been to. Zella was very involved with her audience, her performances were lively and unbelievable, and her presence was captivating. There wasn't a dull moment. I was able to hold her hand, have her sing to me, and hold her up as she reached to her fans. It was an unforgettable experience, and I would do it a hundred times over.

    Zella is Stellar!!!

by Leadguitar on 7/10/16Rough Trade NYC - Brooklyn

This show was fantastic. I had so much fun. I got there late because I was coming from another show and immediately regretted being stuck in the back. Fortunately, Rough Trade isn't a very big venue so I had a decent view, but she's the kind of performer that you want to see up close because she interacts so well with the crowd and you can feel the energy and enthusiasm coming from her. I was also very pleasantly surprised with how well she played. I kind of half expected her to just sing with the band backing her. But she lived up to her billing as an Indie-princess, picking up a sweet Gretsch guitar and just rocking out with it for most of the show. This ain't no pop diva. Can't recommend this show enough. Go see her!!!

    One year later...

by Skedder on 7/10/16Rough Trade NYC - Brooklyn

I saw Zella Day almost exactly a year ago at the Mercury Lounge and she was both pretty and very pleasant with a "nice" stage presence. One year later at Rough Trade, she has become a force, commanding the stage and oozing with confidence. The pacing of the concert was virtually perfect, including an awesome cover of Rhianon (after all, who is a more worthy candidate to be the next Stevie Nicks!). The encore of Mustang Boys was also a highlight. Overall, this free show would have been a bargain at $50. Great fun watching Zella reaching her star potential.
