With four Grammy awards and eight million albums sold worldwide, Yolanda Adams is considered one of the greatest gospel performers of her era, achieving a level of success outside of her genre that few other gospel artists have experienced. After singing in several local Houston choirs as a child, Adams made her debut as a solo artist in 1988 with Just As I Am. The album was initially criticized for its fusion of jazz with traditional gospel, but the unique sound soon became her trademark. She hangs with the best while on tour, making worldwide stops throughout her career and performing to sold-out arenas of thousands of ticket holders. Her style is considered one of the bases for modern gospel, with its fusion of jazz, traditional gospel and rhythm and blues. Some of her live concert performances, such as Live in Washington, have gone on to become Grammy-winning performances. In 2011, she released her 11th studio album, Becoming, to critical acclaim.
Adams initially captured the attention of gospel labels when she debuted as a lead singer with Houston's Southeast Inspirational Choir. After her debut album took off, so, too, did her professional career, culminating with her most famous single, "The Battle is The Lord's". Her album, Mountain High...Valley Low, would earn Adams her first Grammy Award and a Dove Award. Along with several national honors, her career has been so genre-defining that in 2009, Billboard Magazine named her Best Gospel Artist of the Last Decade.

The support service at the Fox was spectacular! Thank you to all who made this an amazing evening to remember!!!
I enjoyed Yolanda Adams, Jacalyn Carr, Jarrell Small and that Jeffrey Lampkin. But I was really hurt Le'Andria didn't show, but overall everything went very well. I would love to see it happen again.😃
I wouldn't recommend getting floor seats due to how very close and uncomfortable the seating was. We were packed like sardines. But aside from that, it was a good experience
From start to finish wonderful! Non-stop praise and worship! The MC kept us singing and laughing. I am retired and all I can say is WOW! I am looking forward to next year!!!
No back up singers she was late wasn't prepare enough but she tried to do her best considering the circumstance
As she was singing, her voice sounded sooo good! I enjoyed listening to her testimony also.
The concert was very nice, very loud and very long (6p until 10:30p). Most performances were good…. Disappointed Yolanda Adams DID NOT have her singers or band…. ( She still can sing w/o backup singers)… Overall Concert RATING: 8/10
We couldn’t hear the lyrics due to the poor sound system. Also there were no Jumbotrons therefore we couldn’t see the performers. This show did not meet my expectations at all. The hosts played A LOT and it took away from the show.
I didn’t think it was here best. In fact I was a little disappointed!!!
Overall I would say that the concert was good. Unfortunately one of the performers was ill. Yolanda Adams flight was delayed and her luggage was missing. These are occurrences that happens. Yolanda did apologize, but it wasn't her fault. It is my opinion that the person in charge of the sound equipment could have done a better job. The should have had better blend of music and vocals. I was seated in the lower section 113 directly across from the stage. The view was fantastic. The lighting was good. But the sound technician was off. I enjoyed the concert overall because it gave me an opportunity spend some time with my nieces. They were happy therefore I was satisfied.
It was a great show wish i could have been seated closer!! Loved it
They had a problem with the sound but still a phenomenal show!!!
The Lord was in the arena. This was my 1st time seeing her perform. There were a few things that happened that could have made it go another way, but Yolanda Adams came out and gave her best, and it was a great! I enjoyed her!
The experience was nice I was a little disappointed that Leandra was not there that was my main purpose for the ticket overall it was a great show
I love her voice and I love her songs she shared how the airline missed placed her luggage and but the behind it all she was saying how it was going to be a blessing behind it and she was just amazing and I pray God will continue to bless her and her music
She still got it! She is still one of my favorite female artists!
