    ARW was blast!!!

by MaitePP on 10/7/16Hard Rock Live Orlando - Orlando

I went to this show with great expectations. Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin and Rick Wakeman, once more confirmed to be the great musicians and performers that they are. Bassist Lee Pomery and drummer Louis Molino III were superb. Jon Anderson greeted the public in Mikey Mouse's gloves!!! The opening was whit "Cinema", then came "Perpetual Change", "Hold On", "I've Seen All Good People", "And You And I", "The Rithm of Love", a Jon solo with "Alone without You", "Awaken", "Long Distance Runaround", "Roundabout", Jon and Rick with a song from their album "The Tree of Love", "Heart of the Sunrise", "Owner of a Lonely Heart", and "Starship Trooper". As a "hard core"YES fan, I was blown away. Amazing!!!

YES fans don't miss Anderson, Rabin & Wakeman

by Sailfisjshooter on 10/7/16Hard Rock Live Orlando - Orlando

I have seen various iterations of YES over the years and enjoyed them all. This concert is no exception. Jon Anderson was phenomenal. I didn't know what to expect going in. It's been a number of years since I've seen Anderson and many of these older bands struggle with the vocals. Anderson was amazing. Sang for two hours straight with no break. Can still hit most of the notes, and there is no one like Jon Anderson. What a feel for the music. So good to see Rick Wakeman again too. Haven't seen him since the Union tour in '91. As much as I've loved every iteration of YES, to me YES isn't YES without Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman. Add to that the exemplary guitar work of Trevor Rabin, the amazing left handed bass of Lee Pomeroy (his backwards strung bass is very cool), and the perfectly played (and not over played) drums by Lou Molino this is a concert you don't want to miss.

I've Seen All Good People on their FEET!

by Edvado on 10/7/16Hard Rock Live Orlando - Orlando

As a moderate Yes fan, I wasn't sure what to expect from these guys, but I'd seen both Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman solo and knew they were exceptional musicians and showmen. ARW was AMAZING! I knew virtually every song by heart, and although they still need a bit of rehearsing, the band was VERY good! They played for a SOLID two hours (no intermission) and left us wanting for more.

Anderson sounded great. Wakeman was amazing. Rubin great - better than Howe these days. Wish they'd played Trop Oceans - no Revelations Or Close to Edge.

    YES is still going strong

by bobpepe on 10/7/16Hard Rock Live Orlando - Orlando

Being that it was the first show of the tour and Jon, Rick and Trevor have some kinks to work out, the show was fabulous. If not for the hurricane, I would have driven to Clearwater to see them at Ruth Eckard tonight. The sound at the Hard Rock here in Orlando was amazing, the clarity was crisp and the song list was awesome.

Good concert, but not as much Rabin-centered music

by DelainFan on 10/7/16Hard Rock Live Orlando - Orlando

Seeing some version of "Yes" has been on my list for some years. I got interested in Yes during the 1980s Rabin years so this line up of Anderson, Rabin and Wakeman seemed ideal. The musicians did an awesome job, backed up by an excellent rhythm section. Their playing is still first notch. My only disappointment and surprise was that their set was still pretty light on Rabin-centered music (from the 90125 and Big Generator years). In particular, songs that would have featured Rabin's voice (Shoot High, Aim Low, It Can Happen, Leave It) were absent. These happened to be some of my favorite Yes songs, so for me the set was a bit lacking. But for folks hoping to hear a wider range of tunes, both old and newer (Union and beyond) and not to worried about 90125 I think they'll enjoy this.

    Too short, but otherwise awesome.

by YtsejammerDT on 10/7/16Hard Rock Live Orlando - Orlando

Only complaint... Too short. Started about 8:10 and wrapped around 10. Otherwise a great show and excellent selection spanning most albums. Anderson's voice is back! Wakeman donned the cape! Great stand-in bassist. A few transitions were messy, but it was the first show of the tour

    Wonderful!!

by toxoscar on 10/7/16Hard Rock Live Orlando - Orlando

Closest thing to a Yes concert I've seen in years. Trevor Rabin was a tad rusty, but that's OK. As a guitar player myself it was fun to see that I'm not the only one that screws up occasionally. Jon Anderson was in excellent voice, Rick Wakeman was fabulous as well. Whoever the bass player was, he deserves a medal...a real student of Chris Squire, and playing A bass strung for right-handed players flipped over and playing left-handed!!! All in all a wonderful night that I've waited for years to see.

    The Boys are back!

by Glennninety on 10/5/16Hard Rock Live - Orlando

Show was splendid! A blast down memory lane. I have loved Yes since I was 12 years old. 80% of the play set was from their triumphant trio: The Yes Album, Fragile, and Close to the Edge. Just what I hoped. Sound was excellent. Venue is perfect. The guys were a bit sloppy with the beat at times, sounding more like a jam session. But this (A) may have been intentional, (B) due to Orlando being the kick off for the tour, and (C) me too much comparing the studio recordings to live music. And truthfully I actually prefer it when the live rendition does not match perfectly the original recording. Otherwise why bother to hear them live?! For all of them their stage presence was terrific. Anderson hopping around stage. Wakeman with his trademark cape lording over the whole show. I don't know much about Rabin, but he and the other guitarist were fine. For all Yes fans, don't walk but run to your online device and buy tickets. Hard Rock was virtually sold out which adds to the fun. I could go on and on. The only fav of mine they did not play was Close to the Edge, which is understandable due to its length. Acoustics and sound quality were very good, which is important for this band. And they played a full two hour set including encore. Loved it. Long live Yes and 70's symphonic/prog rock. Thank you ARW for getting back together. You have an adoring fan base. Enjoy your tour. You kicked it off in grand fashioin!!
