The concert was incredible. Yellowman can still rock the house. He is by far one of the best roots-reggae artist out there today. His music and life are a positive influence, and an inspiration to the rest of us. Would strongly recommend!
Energy! Yellowman brings it, and at the excellent small venue like Tikibar, everyone who is there to have fun is in for a great time.
Although the opening acts were ok, we really wanted to see Yellowman. Yellowman started at 12 midnight but he gave a high energy performance for 2 hrs. We traveled almost 200 miles roundtrip to see the show but it was well worth it. I would place him among the greatest performers and the music was great. He also comes across as a very nice person.
I grew up knowing and listening to him, but to actually standing in front of him was amazing. My girlfiend and I decide we wanted to hang out after so many years since she moved away from NY and we decide to go see him. However, I will see him again and I recommend if you miss this show look forward to see the next one. Besides, the price was right we didn't have to break our pockets.
Loved that the show started on time! Yellowman was in rare form. I felt like I was watching an aerobics video the whole time. He was jumping and running and dee jaying at the same time. Truly a great show!
Best show I've seen in years! He's an inspiration and so dedicated to providing a great show! I'll go see him anytime.
Yellowman put on a great show! I had never been to the place and was wondering how good it would be once I was inside but overall, we really had a good time. It was a slow start because we got there a bit early~ but when the first band started it was good. Honestly- inside could have looked a bit better and needs a bit of work- but I can't complain because I may have had the best Jerk Wings ever! And the drinks were pretty awesome too.
The opening act, Rising Sun, was unknown to me or my much more knowledgeable daughter. They played for an hour, which was not long enough. Midway through the hour, the lead singer and the drummer switched places and music styles--a great touch because both were excellent talents. My daughter knew the next act, but to me they sound like like a sorry garage band. I don't remember their name. Then Elephant Man came onstage and made the last sorry hour worth the wait. He puts super energy into his performance, totally capturing the whole house. We also went backstage after the show. Somehow, my son-in-law talked us into meeting him; probably because he is also from Jamaica. Elephant Man was just as generous a host as he is a performer.
Ive seen him twice and he never stopped moving ang jumping throughout the entire concert. This dude is amazing and his music is classic. I love Yellowman !!! COme back to SD bro!!!
Yellowman was probably one of the best reggae show I've been to in the past 2 years. He not only was full of energy but he got the audience involved too. He has more stanima than a lot of 20 years old that I know. Good job Yellowman and I will see you next time!
Yellowman was awesome. there weren't that many people there, but he still put on a great show. along with tomorrows bad seeds and creation rebels the show was great.
