YEARS & YEARS IN CONCERT:
British electronic trio Years & Years has skyrocketed to the top of the UK indie dance scene with their soaring blend of ‘90s house, alternative R&B, and soulful synth pop. The band’s 2015 debut album Communion is one of the year’s most buzzed-about releases, and they’ve further fueled excitement around the record with their electrifying performances on tour. In concert charismatic frontman Olly Alexander dances around the stage with ecstatic abandon, delivering his emotional vocals with passion and precision while the band keeps the drums and synths flowing. Whether they’re getting fans dancing with “Desire” or performing their first UK chart-topper “King”, Years & Years always bring the house down with their anthemic songs, stellar musicianship, and infectious onstage energy.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Years & Years formed in London in 2010, originally working as a five-piece before becoming a trio and releasing their proper 2013 debut single “Traps”. They followed up in early 2014 with the single “Real, but things really took off later that year with the single “Take Shelter”, which topped the iTunes UK Singles Electronic Chart. Their fourth single “Desire” fared even better, peaking at No. 22 on the UK Singles Chart and becoming an underground hit in the US. With the 2015 release of their fifth single “Kings” the band broke through to the mainstream, reaching No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart and cracking the Top 10 on charts throughout Europe. Shortly after, Years & Years won the prestigious BBC Sound of 2015 award, joining a star-studded list of previous winners that includes Sam Smith, Jessie J, and Adele. With their highly anticipated debut album Communion generating massive amounts of buzz in 2015, Years & Years are poised to cement their status as UK pop royalty on tour.

So amazing!!! They were so good! They are all sweethearts, and olly sounds the same if not better live! The energy was amazing, as well as the dancing and you can really tell how much they care about their fans and their music. It was the perfect size venue & crowd so you could actually see them perform haha. I am definitely going to see them again any time i get the chance!
I had an incredible time with my friends. Good venue, they're great live. Would love to see them again.
Was amazing - Easily the best concert I have been too! They sounded just as great live as in the studio!
Very good performance by years and years they were awsome live..heard some new tracks I hadn't heard yet but overall definitely worth it. They are the biggest up and coming artists right now!
Years & Years are my favorite band, so I knew the concert was going to be life changing. They were extraordinary, and so nice, and their opening act, Tei Shi, was amazing! Her voice and general sound was so different and unique and beautiful. My only sore point was the disorganization of the venue. I got to Terminal 5 around 2pm to wait in line, but that was almost pointless, because when we go closer to 7, the event staff told us just to spread out behind a barrier causing people to run up closer, and completely negating the fact that many of us had stood in a line for many hours that day. Once we were finally let in, they made us wait another hour on the roof of the building before allowing us to go down to the stage floor. It was pretty ridiculous. I also attending the Philly show at Union Transfer, and that venue was awesome. The night of that concert was the best night of my life because of Years & Years and Tei Shi. <3
the worst concert in Years and Years??? Olly's prime was "The Dish and the Spoon"...should stick to acting.
I went with some friends and even though we arrived only one hour before the doors opened, we were really close to the stage. It was my first concert in New York and I don't regret it as my first choice! Terminal 5 is a really nice venue and it feels really intimate, I love it. Tei Shi was great, she's got some amazing vocals. Years & Years were perfect, I love Olly's presence on the stage. During Shine, he went down the stage to see and sing with the fans. The show was only one hour, which is really short, but I can't blame them since they only have one album. After the show we waited for the band to come out for two hours and although we almost gave up, they finally came out. Olly is an angel, unlike his manager who kept telling him they had to go. I can't wait for them to come back in New York!
Years & Years performed really really really well. And they had so much energy and kept you entertained. I had such a great time. They performed their entire album, and they sang really well live. The crowd was amazing too!
i love them so much i almost had a heart attack when they came on stage
Years and Years was great!! For a concert on a Monday night though, I was not really in the mood for turning up. The opening act was a DJ who played some pop, but mostly EDM. The DJ left after playing music for an hour, and we had to wait another thirty minutes before Years and Years showed up. That my second biggest peeve. I will get to my first one later. Their performance was awesome. I was worried because lots of electronica bands don't sound that great live. However, they were wonderful. They connected with the crowd really well, and the lead singer's dance moves were too cute. I think he was not feeling too well/was getting over a cold or something. He was drinking tea between songs. But he still hit the notes and sounded good. Years and Years is a young band, which brings me to my biggest peeve is that they had a very short perfomance. They sang for about 45 min, when I expected at least a full hour especially after the thirty min wait.
Great venue! Great drinks and plenty space to watch with a good view and dance. Years & Years had a great show and I wished they had a longer set. Good audience!
Have been following this band online for a bit and was so excited that they came across the pond for a show! The band's energy was great, sounded even better live, and I really felt connected with them during the performance. Ollie's voice is unreal
Great show... Great venue. Music quality sounded great. Good bar
