Biggest event for American Saddlebreds each year. As an owner and exhibitor, it is a must-see!
It was not like advertised and you also had to pay for the entrance to the fair which was not mentioned
It was wonderful---but every year I think, why do I have to pay to go to the fair---I'm just going to the show---- and why isn't parking included in the ticket? Surely something could be done about that!!
This was the awesome world championship show that I ever watched !!!
Anyone who likes American Saddlebred horses will enjoy these high-stepping horses perform in the show ring. The show is held Sunday thru Saturday in August every year. There are classes held in the mornings and evenings. A variety of Saddlebred horses and classes makes the show interesting. There are 3-gaited, 5-gaited, Fine harness, English Pleasure, and Western Pleasure classes. Hackney ponies and Roadster horses also compete each night. The Saturday night Championship classes highlight the top horses in the world! A must-see if you like horses!
The show was great. The horsemanship was subperb. Great Job everyone.
Championship night was outstanding. Well organized, professionally done.
Really enjoyed horse show ! Hope to go again next year.
The American Saddlebred Championship Horse Show was amazing and we loved every minute that we got to see of it. Trying to get to Freedom Hall on the other hand was the worst!!! We arrived at the Kentucky State Fairgrounds in time for the show, then was directed to four different parking lots and was told they were full after waiting for a long period of time at each of them. At the 4th lot we were directed down a narrow drive between a tall fence and storage buildings only to be told when we got to the end of that line that they were full and that we had to somehow get our vehicle turned around and go back out. When we finally got back to that gate opening they were still directing people in! Apparently they had no communication from the attendants actually in that full lot. We finally just drove around several parking attendants and made our way to the parking area reserved for livestock trailers and parked between 2 huge trailers. We walked into Freedom Hall 1 hour and 10 minutes late for the horse show.
