Four of us attended the show and we all enjoyed it very much. Such gorgeous animals. All riders were professional and it was very entertaining.
I purchased front row halfcourt seats to best view the spectacular which I have been privileged to see twice in my lifetime. Both occasions were magnificent with superb horsemanship skills and breathe taking displays of airs above the ground. That was not what I witnessed at the Saturday night performance of the "World Famous Lipizzaners." My dressage trainer accompanied me to watch the show. We were greatly disappointed to watch riders with heavy/hard hands, noisy sloppy legs, massive over-cuing with the spurs, reins to the double bridle held incorrectly so that the pelham/curb bit was severely overused. The stallions were clearly unhappy, with teeth bared and ears pinned at each other as well as toward their handlers. The horses were ridden so heavily from the bit, instead of from the seat and legs, that their head carriage was far too high to successfully perform maneuvers such as the passage, tempis, spanish walk, all basic staples of the performances. The airs above ground should not have even been attempted. One poor stallion was in such poor position during the levade, that he fell forward, one leg scrambling to balance himself. While another stallion's courbette was weak and only attempted twice. Nothing compared to the 10 leap series I enjoyed about 7 years ago. I could go on with many specific examples.... stirrups too long, heels too high, poor hoof trimming angles on the horses, horses cross firing, counter cantering.... but I think you get the point.
This was a fantastic show. It is so nice to be able to have events such as this one that the whole family will enjoy. The horses were beautiful; the riders were wonderful and the information about the history of this amazing breed of horse was perfect. I would (and did) suggest that anyone who has the opportunity to see this show to go and see for themselves. A-One Entertainment!
The show was great! the kids really loved it! would of liked to see more tricks though didnt do any flying and only did about 6 tricks. overall it was very good!!
The horses were wonderful and being able to see one of the rare Andalusians was an added treat. The rider from Nikiski was perfect. The others were good, but not on a par with what the horses deserved.
After hearing about these horse for so many years, we jumped at the chance to see them. Our little girl loves horses so we knew she would be thrilled. The show was absolutely magical. The adults were as mesmerized as the little girl. When the show was over, we couldn't believe that 2 hours had gone by. The price to see this show was very reasonable and we were very happy with our seats. This is a show that is great for all ages. Don't miss it!!!
This show was awesome. I was amazed at the talent of these horses and would have loved to see more of the leaps and dancing. If you have a chance to see them go.
A historical tradition right before my eyes. For the rest of my life I'll be able to say, "I saw the Lipizzaner Stallions.".
The whole program was wonderful. The history along with it was interesting.
These horses & riders are a sight to see for all ages...amazing grace and horsemanship
A superb show of horsemanship, set dramatically to music. The athleticism of the horses is showcased. 2 hours of pure entertainment, great for family, dates, relaxation, and pure amazement.
Great show. Beautiful and well performed. The historical lesson on the horses and US patriotism makes it extra special. The story about the eight rescue horses is pretty neat, too.
The stallions were fabulous! Unforntunely the Sullivan Area has the worst accustics/sound of any place I have ever been. I was three rows back from the middle of the area and could hear about one word every 20 words the conductor said. the echo and boom of the speakers muffled out everything he said. The horses though were awesome and riders were great! I would definietly recommend it if it wasn't as the sully.
The animals are just magnificent. The show couples the beauty and strength of these horses in a setting of pagentry that makes for a wonderful evening; especially if you like horses.
I have wanted to see the Lipizzaner Stallions since I was a kid, so this was a real treat. The show was very entertaining, informative, and, of course, the horses were amazing. Such incredible, beautiful animals.
The Lipizzaner Stallion show is probably one of the coolest shows I have ever seen. The horses are magnificent and they really do love the attention, you can see it in the way they perform. The riders handle the animals so well its almost as if they dont need to be there. The show also has a Spanish Andalusian horse in it as well and I believe that horse is the most beautiful one of them all. It is an amazing show for everyone young and old, horse lover or not.
The show was extremely entertaining and the horses were just beautiful. I enjoyed the history and informaton that was contained in the commentary. My 7 year old grandson also enjoyed it very much.
This is a great family event to educate and inspire youth and families to share an amazing experience that has it's roots in history!
Seeing these beautiful horses perform fulfilled a childhood dream. They are undeniably an awesome sight to behold and their stately performance set to classical music was something I'll remember forever. I had expected the riders to be all males in uniform. The female riders could pay better attention to their appearance. The horses are so magnificent. The riders should match that in their equestrian presence.
