    Great Show!

by MWP1 on 2/21/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

How amazed we were with this performance of Working! The show has been updated and is relevant for today's business climate. The size of the theater made the play more intimate. What amazed us most was the sound. We were off to the right but the sound was perfect. Having the live music on the left side up high worked well. We hadn't been back to the Watertower Theater since it was a "theater in the round" -- but the current stage set-up was great. We were impressed with our entire experience. We'd highly recommend it.

Working made for a great night off!

We thoroughly enjoyed "Working." I would not recommend it for children/younger adolescents due to foul language in parts and sexual inuendo.

it felt like a combination of a musical and Second City skits.

    Working was exceptional

by catalinaskipper on 2/21/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

Well acted and sung with the actors doing a great job. I was not sure what to expect, and we really enjoyed it. Watertower theater was also new to me, but it was comfortable and worked very well for this play. We were 3rd row front center and really got to seeeverything from the marks on the stage floor to the excertion of the actors. It was well received by the whole audience.

    Working - Great Show

by dmariew on 2/21/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

I really didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. I laughed, I cryed and mostly just enjoyed the entire show. The cast was great and played each character to perfection.

my brother and I took my mom to this play for her birthday. we all related to several of the characters. All of the actors were so versatile and very believable...not to mention great singers. we all enjoyed the show.

The show was one of the best musicals I have ever seen. It didn't have as much spectacle as the other broaway musicals you might think of, but it was empowering and exhibited true talent.

    Fun and refreshing.

by CrabbyTom on 2/20/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

The theme of the play offered common ground for all Americans. It was refreshing being reminded of what we all have in common, yet allowing different attitudes about occupations.

    Cool production!

by michelle42 on 2/20/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

I was familiar with the story behind the production and being from Chicago-land, I was familiar with Studs Terkel. The things that I really enjoyed was seeing the cast prepare for the show due to the neat set construction. When there were costume changes, the stage hands came on set and help the actors change. This was neat to see and contributed to the idea of 'working'. Overall, it was inspiring to see and listen to the story lines of all types of jobs and how they each contribute to society.
