Best sport ever, best roller derby ever. Wonderful staff.

It was the greatest weekend of my life! The event ran smoothly, the staff was great and it was a perfect venue for roller derby. The Minnesota Rollergirls are lucky to call The Roy their home. My only change would be to have a special wristband or badge for three day passes. It was a hassle having to use a ticket every day and then relying on a stamp for reentry to an all day, all weekend event.

The Roy Wilkins was a great venue and everything was organized so well!! The bouts were unforgettable

This WFTDA championship will go down in history. I am glad I got to be there to see it in person. Totally worth flying halfway across the country! We got some trackside access bracelets by being uber fans and got to be right there on the floor. So cool!

This was history in the making. My third year going and I am still so impressed by the quality of skating and sportswomanship I saw on the track. I can't wait until next year.

The action was engaging, the intensity was insane. I can't beleive how talented these athletes are!

Champs was, as I expected, amazing! Such good derby vibes, great vendors, amazing skating. My only frustration was with the food options at the event. I've got dietary limitations, so I didn't really expect to be able to eat much (read, any) of what was there, but I've always found it odd that WFTDA creates these amazing events that attract tons of competitive athletes, then the vendors provide hot dogs and nachos for day-long events. The spectators are, in large part, a health-conscious bunch , and it's not like a football or basketball game where the spectators are former athletes who are more interested in potato skins and chicken tenders. Obviously, expecting gluten-free options is probably too much, but some healthier choices would probably add to the already great events that happen during playoffs and champs weekend. I hate having to leave the venue and miss games to get food that won't make me sick from the grease.

Seventeen bouts of roller derby over three days, featuring the top teams from the United States, Canada and Great Britain. Phenomenal action, especially the Saturday night bout between Windy City (Chicago) versus Texas (Austin). The Ford Center in Evansville was quite the venue. Due to small attendance, only two main concession stands were open, but both served a nice variety of well-cooked food. I will say that the sound was the best of any tournament I've ever attended.

Went to the roller derby with friends. Did not have high expecetations. I was really very pleasantly suprised. Thought the event was great.

I really enjoyed how seamless it was navigating to the venue. Affordable and great parking close to the event entrance, and seating was fabulous anywhere in the room! Lots of action, heavy hits, and a well put on event. Wish it was better attended!

My friends and I came from New York to see the Derby Nationals in Milwaukee, and we had such a great time! The bouts were really good (several teams playing that weekend were at Nationals for the first time, *and* they made it to the second round), and the venue we watched them in was really comfortable and spacious. Plus, I don't think there was a bad seat in the house.

I had never been to a roller derby before and all I knew about it was what I had seen in movies. It was very easy to understand and get into. I enjoyed it very much. I would recommend it highly.

The tournament was amazing, even though I felt Texas should have won overall. ;)

The skating was absolutely top shelf and most of the bouts were nail-biters from start to finish. The venue was really good as well. Polite staff as well as ample food and beverage options. Would highly recommend attending next year.

This event is full of amazing athletes playing a phenominal sport!

With the internal re-alignment of seeding and playoffs, the WFTDA fulfilled their goal of bringing the best 16 teams in modern flat track roller derby to US Cellular Arena-Milwaukee for an intense 3-day event to settle the argument of "Who's the best?" The arena layout is well-suited for an event like this, with clean wide concourses, easy accessibility, and adequate room for not only the athletic event but a vendor village and media. Public and private parking facilities were very close. The first four games on Day One were the closest contested bouts in recent memory for the Championship tournament. The Day Two action ended with one of the most intense roller derby bouts I've ever seen in five years of following the sport. Day Three had one of the most exciting bouts ever with a nail-biter finish to the Division 2 Championship game, and the Championship game outcome wasn't clear until the last jam. There was a surprisingly varied availability of food and beverage choices offered, at what I thought were reasonable prices for the quality of food.

It was amazing to see such strong powerful women playing a touch mental and physical sport. I was proud of all the good sportsmanship and crowds cheering for all the teams!
