Wizard of Oz Tickets

Oakland's Paramount Theater is a treasure, one of my all time favorite venues. The Wizard of Oz was a magical experience for my granddaughter. She wore her Dorothy costume complete with Ruby slippers. We went for her 4th birthday, The theater is in perfect condition and spotless, glowing. Staff really friendly. Can't beat the $5 admission. Parking was $10 at the back of theater but you could easily take BART. Can't wait to go back again. The Ladies Room is the best anywhere!

Talk about delivering way more than expected! For $5/ticket (plus Ticketmaster charge of ~$2.75/tx), we had a completely wonderful evening at The Oakland Paramount Theatre watching The Wizard of Oz. But, not only that! There was the might Wurlitzer player, an old-fashioned movie newsreel, a Bugs Bunny Cartoon, and a live raffle. The audience participation was nothing short of good-natured and good fun. People came dressed as the characters. It was just complete fun. And, the security people made things go smoothly.

The Paramount really knows how to put on a great event. However, the feature film started too late! The powers that be should seriously consider moving everything back half an hour. Otherwise, it was a spectactular night thanks to Dorothy and Company. Thanks!
