Andy Powell and band was excellent. Played for 2 hours. The interweaving of Andy and Mark's guitars were astounding
I enjoyed this greatly, though the small crowd detracted from the concert feel. With Powell taking on many of the lead parts, it kinda missed Ash's biggest draw, the dueling leads, of past line-ups.
Having followed them in the past or never seeing them, there is something here fo everyone. I observed people there with mostly young sons, possibly already invested in music. My guest is a pro guitar player and was greatly impressed with all of their technical ability. My regret, I and another man, 10 years my Senior, would have liked to thank them personally.
The band was really great, I saw them in 1969 and 1973 in New york, and they were BETTER now! Sadly, crowd was very small, they need a new publicist....I only found out about show from Ticketmaster, although I read all local news. .....See them if you get a chance! Two Thumbs Up, Andy!
Been listening to Wishbone Ash since the 70s . This was the 1st time to See them . Loved it !
Must experience their musicianship first hand to appreciate this rock powerhouse that never disappoints.
The Venue was great and the band was amazing as usual.
Worth going to see Wishbone Ash this tour. Over 50 years on and they still sound great. Thanks for a great night!
Always an under rated band by the general public, but loved by other musicians and music aficionados.Twin lead guitars in sync on some songs is classic. Ludlow Garage is perfect place to enjoy a concert. Maybe seats 450 people. All seats are good. The staff is friendly and helpful. The small bar has great variety and fair prices. Area around Ludlow Garage offered multiple restaurants, bars , and shops. See this band to see how music is meant to be played.
Great show/good venue. In the friendly confines of Ludlow garage got a chance to see this historic band perform some of their new material and greatest hits. Especially rousing was the rendition of Phoenix. Made me want to go right home and throw on “Live Dates”.
The venue was great, I managed to get seats closer to the stage but I honestly think even if we were sitting in the back it would have been just as good. The sound system there is amazing! Wishbone sounded just like they're records and even better live!
Wishbone Ash was delayed for two years and they were worth the wait. They sounded great, the venue was great.
A legendary band with a voluminous catalog performed brilliantly!
Absolutely one of the best concerts ever. I listened to all my wishbone ash albums prior to concert, the live music was DEAD on the studio albums. Real great
Yes, they were good, but, I requested and talked with them, but, didn’t get to hear “Valediction”. 😢🎤🎼
Want a show got to meet the band after the show want great guys will go and see them over and over
Played all the tunes I wanted to hear. One of the best concerts I’ve been to.
Great classic rock and roll with a great 70s band. Sound mix was perfect. All band members engaged the audience and performed exceptionally well. Can’t wait to see them again! 🎶🎶🎶
Canyon Club is a bit seedy, but just a great place to enjoy live music. Wishbone Ash has been around years and certainly knows how to entertain. They have had a few iterations and the latest with Mark Abrahams is phenomenal. The set included most of Argus and a number of other great songs which normally would have been enough for me to go home satisfied. However Abrahams was just ridiculous. Every minute he was on stage he morphed into Jimmy Page circa 1975. Same expressions, same exceptional range on the guitar, same charisma. If I had hated every song, seeing a masterclass from Abrahams would have been worth it.
They were better than expected. Played their hits and sounded really good. I hope to see them again.
