    Good band, HORRIBLE venue!

by A. C. on 11/4/19E.J. Thomas Hall - The University of Akron - Akron

The performers were good; but...how can we be in the FIRST row, CENTER stage...and not be able to hear "clearly"? The acoustics were as bad as anywhere that we have EVER been! Acts should stop booking EJ Thomas Hall...and play at The Civic theatre a few blocks away! We will NEVER see another show at this venue!

The music was awesome. Casino needs a better dance floor, tuff to sit with these tunes being played.

Winter Dance Party is an awesome concert!

by catyshak on 2/13/18Grand Casino Mille Lacs Event Center - Onamia

The Winter Dance Party is one of the best tribute shows out there. John Mueller, Ray Anthony and Linwood Sasser are all very talented. They and the Winter Dance Party Band do a very impressive job bringing back the great music of Buddy Holley, Richie Valens and J.P. Richardson (the Big Bopper). Their costumes and performances are a great reflection of the times and will bring back some memories for people who lived in that era. The show is attended and enjoyed by people of all ages. Anyone who has a love of 50's music show try and see this show.

Wonderful tribute to Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens & the Big Bopper! We met the performers after the show for autographs--they were so friendly & courteous. I'm sure Buddy, Ritchie & J.P. are looking down from Heaven with smiles & pride regarding their tribute show :)

    The Music Did Not Die

    by 3Feb59 on 7/15/14F. M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

This show was the most perfect example of 1. How music can be fun and make you happy, 2. That after 55 years their music is as fresh as it was in 1959. 3. The level of talent was as good then as anything that has since come or gone. 4. As we grow older, Buddy, Ritchie, and J.P. will be with us forever.

    Winter Dance Party Was Fabulous

    by Hepdon on 7/15/14F. M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

I can't believe that there are 3 people who can look and sound so much like the original artists. It was one of the best shows that I've seen. I felt like I was 16 again.

    Winter Dance Party

by Chettri on 2/25/14Grand Casino Hinckley Event Center - Hinckley

Musicians did a good job. Could have been a little longer and could have included more of Buddy Holly's lesser known songs. I'd like more 50s music concerts.

    The 3 Stars rock on.

by MAMHOF on 2/12/14Grand Casino Mille Lacs Event Center - Onamia

Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and the Big Bopper--3 stars who lost their lives at such an early age, were never to realize their full potential. Buddy, leading the pack, became my all-time favorite rock n roller when I was 14. I loved the sound, the style--everything. Later, I learned more about him and his life in music. In his short career, not only did he sing and play guitar, but also wrote many of the songs he brought to notariety. Before the fatal crash, that took the 3 stars, Buddy became studio proficient, moving forward in musical talent, as well as demonstrating tremendous behind the scenes capability and innovation. Ritchie, at 17, was just beginning to shine, while the Bopper was an established song writer. In the Winter Dance Party, the 3 stars shine again, and in fabulous form. Ritchie(Ray) rocks! Bopper (Linwood), captivates the audience with zeal. And Buddy (John), plays the greatest homage to a true rock star. Their show is absolutely phenomenal! Long live rock & roll, and the 3 stars through this fabulous Winter Dance Party.

    Winter Dance Party is Super

by Alshoe on 2/11/14Grand Casino Hinckley Event Center - Hinckley

Thoroughly enjoyed the show and the way the performers act like it's still 1959. The music was spot-on and the audience participation was fun. My only complaint is I wish the program had been longer. I hope they return next winter - I will definitely see them again, and I'll bring some friends with!

    Graceland57

by Graceland57 on 12/24/13Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

Winter Dance Party was a lot of fun & a high energy show! We truly enjoyed the performance & felt we were back in Clear Lake, Iowa during the last performance of Buddy Holly & Company. We love rock n roll and these three men really got things going in the late 50's. Each person played their respective charactor well & the band was awesome, too.

Winter Dance Party was a blast

by RacquetMan46 on 12/24/13Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

Winter Dance Party is one of the best tribute performances I have ever seen and listened to. John Mueller as Buddy Holly, Ray Anthony as Richie Valens and Jay Richardson Jr. as the Big Bopper. All have stage charisma and charm and sung their heart out. I know it is sacrilegious to say but they are as good as the originals. Ray Anthony got the entire audience up singing and dancing! I saw it night before last and ready to go again!

    Fun time!!

by 040249 on 3/4/13The Meadows at Prairie Meadows - Altoona

Too Short - assumed show would be longer than 90 minutes - was disappointed; thought maybe there would be 2 parts to show with intermission.
