Winnipeg Jets History
The Winnipeg Jets were founded in 1997 as the Thrashers, and began play in the 1999–2000 NHL season, spending 11 seasons in Atlanta and making the playoffs once in 2006-2007. In 2011, the franchise was sold to True North Sports and Entertainment, which relocated the team to Winnipeg and adopted the name of the city's original franchise in the World Hockey Association, the Jets.
Major league hockey dates back to 1972 in Winnipeg, which was home to one of the founding franchises of the WHA and one of four (along with Quebec, Hartford and Edmonton) to join the NHL when the leagues merged in 1979. The original Jets moved to Phoenix in 1996 and became the Phoenix Coyotes (then the Arizona Coyotes, who were in play from 1994 to 2024). In the 14 seasons that the Jets have been in Winnipeg, they’ve made eight playoff appearances, including a run to the Western Conference Finals in 2018.
In 2016, the team established the Winnipeg Jets Hall of Fame, with the "Hot Line" trio of Anders Hedberg, Bobby Hull and Ulf Nilsson as the inaugural inductees. Recent inductees include Teemu Selänne and Teppo Numminen.

The game was great BUT the promos and gimmicks being used to encourage folks to buy tickets needs some MAJOR improvements. The Heritage Snapback hats were super disappointing, made of cheap materials and just terrible. We won't be lining up to take advantage of the next 'promo' that's for sure.
We had a great experience at the game. No major issues. Wasn’t readily apparent which doors we use (first timers here). So a note or door reference would have been helpful on ticketing.
A friend suggested to buy tickets here, we did it and it all went flawlessly! We got our tickets and had a great time at the game!

Sweeeet, took my girlfriend and my sister to their first NHL game and my favorite team Detroit Red Wings happened to win the game which made it really exciting.
I had such a great times with friends, the service was good and very friendly staff!
Canada Life Centre is a great place and whole event was entertaining. Intermission shows were of good quality. It was a full house and experienced no pushing and shoving, and came out the proper door because exits are well marked. No beer was spilt on me. Lol
Great game. Very expensive. But we can only afford once per year, so we budgeted for it!
People were great. Game was great. Had a fantastic time!
We attended the Jets-Dallas hockey game on November 09. I was impressed by how quick and efficient entry and security was. We were seated in the upper bowl. All views gave full vantage point of the game. Had a great time. And the Jets WON!!!!!
