  • Bill was Great. Venue was so so.

by BillD1956 on 8/18/25Fillmore New Orleans - New OrleansRating: 3 out of 5

Bill Shatner gave a humorous and interesting talk after the movie. Definitely worth it! The venue had a little to be desired. Seats too small (I’m 6’ 3”) and guy next to me was XL. The screen was placed (real close) where I couldn’t watch it from the 1st row without looking almost straight up. I paid up for a photo opportunity and it was a cattle call. No talking, no touching, no speaking to him, no autographs…

  • Shatner was great, the theater not so much

by Paul B on 8/6/25Pensacola Saenger Theatre - PensacolaRating: 4 out of 5

The theater had multiple problems with showing the movie. First there were sound problems then the video was interrupted. They had to stop the movie for significant amount of time to correct the problems. Yet, there were still problems with the video and sound. However, William Shatner was awesome! He told some funny stories, and had many funny interactions with the audience. He's still a good entertainer at 94, thanks Captain Kirk!

  • Seats at the venue were very uncomfortable

by Christina on 8/6/25Fillmore New Orleans - New OrleansRating: 2 out of 5

The movie was good and a fun watch. William Shatner's acting talent shown through during the on stage portion but it felt like he got off track a few times. The seats at the venue were so very hard and close together that I was in pain. The pain made it hard to enjoy anything or focus. The show was not sold out so in my opinion the seats could have been rearranged. Pictures were not allowed and when I used my phone to text to check on my son, I was reprimanded and threatened by security to be removed. I would have left by my own choice except that I paid so much money for the tickets I kept waiting to feel like I got my values worth.

  • Bill great - Saenger A/V Poor

by Mark on 8/5/25Rating: 3 out of 5

I attended the 8/2/25 appearance at the Saenger Theater in Pensacola, FL. It was great to see Shatner, who was entertaining...at 94! Ticketmaster, however, did not reveal that "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan"would be shown prior to his remarks. That turned out to be good and bad. Good in that it had been many years since I'd seen the best of the Star Trek films, but the audio/visual failures impaired the enjoyment of the movie. The sound quality at the Saenger was poor with a reverb during the movie. The sound dropped multiple times, as did the video. A nearly 15 minute interruption did not fix the problems. I have attended productions at a children's theater with far better quality audio/visual equipment and staff trained to properly operate the equipment.

  • It was terrible!

by Smergalert on 8/5/25Pensacola Saenger Theatre - PensacolaRating: 1 out of 5

The showing of Wrath of Khan had so many “technical difficulties” that it absolutely ruined the movie for me! First the sound went out completely & there was a 30 minute delay while they “fixed” it. Then, when it finally restarted, the amps were humming & vibrating so badly that the dialogue in the movie was muffled to the point of not being able to understand it. However, we stuck it out because we had been looking forward to seeing William Shatner since I bought the tickets in March. What a disappointment! He kept trying to be funny, & he wasn’t. There were none of the great behind-the-scenes stories that I was hoping to hear. Worst money ever spent.

  • Too long

by Vic on 8/5/25Pensacola Saenger Theatre - PensacolaRating: 3 out of 5

There were several times the movie stopped working.. Technical difficulties, payed a lot for the tickets for this to happen, disappointing.

Had a great time! Had a small audio problem, but it was resolved quickly. Enjoyable experience at a great venue!!!

  • Good show tickets expensive

by Nwaflyguy on 8/5/25Pensacola Saenger Theatre - PensacolaRating: 4 out of 5

It was a good show but William Shatner should have came out first and talked about the movie and then afterwards answered questions. The meet and greet ticket was too expensive.

  • Insanely Loud

by TheSirenCoy on 8/5/25Pensacola Saenger Theatre - PensacolaRating: 3 out of 5

The soundtrack to the movie wasn’t great, so the dialogue was hard to understand, but then the sound messed up completely and they had to stop the film. (Which has never happened in my whole life of 51 years.) so in total, it skipped and/or lost sound 4 or 5 times, as well as the picture disappearing 2 or 3 times. The problem really, was that they were trying to play the sound too loud, and it was making the speakers skip. I suggested turning the volume down. But neither usher I suggested this to, did anything to pass my idea to the booth. So then. after they got the sound going again, they turned it ALL THE WAY UP. So, what was hard to comprehend dialogue, turned into painfully unintelligible garble. - Shatner was great.!! Very funny, and is the only reason I’m not totally pissed- bcz i did go to see him, & not so much the movie. But I wish he had spoken longer, he was so enjoyable. - I wish I could have afforded the after meet and greet. - I was really hoping that I would somehow get to sing for him, but his stage-exit was abrupt, & i was too shy to scream ‘wait’, and I didn’t know to submit a question ahead or how. I thought the question and answer session was going to be a line with a microphone we would stand in and ask the questions ourselves. If I had known I had to submit a question ahead of time/ I would have asked - “Have you ever heard a real SirenSong?and would you like to hear one.” - Anyhoo, all in all I guess It was okay. This was the first ‘event’ I’ve been to in over a decade. I can’t even remember the last time I went to a movie. So. It was really nice to get out, but then, kind of uncomfortable… the seats were so small, (that theater was built before people got large.) &The people next to me brought their very old, blind, wiener dog, which I thought was odd. - So- Despite everything that was horribly uncomfortable and awkward about the evening, I really enjoyed the 15 mins of Mr Shatner. :) Thanks, I hope I get to see him again somewhere. Later y’all;)
