About

An accomplished songwriter and performer, Will Hoge is a 2013 Grammy Award Nominee for "Even If it Breaks Your Heart," a country song that he co-wrote for the Eli Young Band. His own single, "Strong," is featured in an advertisement for the 2014 Chevy Silverado truck. Currently on a solo tour that sees him taking the stage in intimate venues, Hoge has also supported notable artists, including NEEDTOBREATHE, Dierks Bentley and ZZ Top. During a concert, Hoge is known for playing a rich mixture of new and catalog songs and also prefacing many with humorous and personable dialogue that helps him effortlessly relate to every ticket buyer in the room.

Hoge's latest album, "Never Give In," is available on iTunes, and "Strong," the lead single, has already sold tens of thousands of copies. The album's title is inspired by a life motto that Hoge certainly puts into action every day, as shown through accolades earned despite momentary hardships, such as a severe scooter accident that occurred in 2008. It required several surgeries, plus intensive physical therapy, but Hoge has made a complete recovery. He's truly a man who wears many hats, having played as part of a band in the mid-1990s, then embarking on a solo career that still continues today. By using his songwriting skills to create hits for other artists and also signing a songwriting deal with BMG Nashville in 2012, Hoge continually demonstrates a high level of awareness about today's multi-faceted music industry, and more importantly, how to enjoy consistent levels of success.

    Great Concert

    by sisternumber5 on 7/29/15Hamilton Live - Washington

Will Hoge puts on one heck of a concert. He and his back-up band played a good mix of songs. One minute Hoge was singing a beautiful country ballad and the next the band was jamming out to a southern rock song. I like that his political and social opinions are reflected in the songs he writes and he is willing to take a stand and say what he believes in. It is unfortunate country artists, like Hoge, are snubbed and get very little, if any, commercial radio air time.

    Will Hoge Was Fantastic

by iceage366 on 6/9/15Bowery Ballroom - New York

Will was extremely engaging with the crowd and played from his entire catalog. The sound was very similar to the albums, and was a terrific live show. I highly recommend, and would go again in a heartbeat.

    Only gets better with time!

by Armueller on 6/2/15Mercury Ballroom - Louisville

My husband and I have been attending Will Hoge concerts for almost 10 years. We really wondered, coming into this concert, if it was still worth the time and money to see him live after so many years and so many shows. His show at the Mercury Ballroom was proof that Will only gets better with time! Many of the attendees in Louisville were seeing Will play for the first time and got an amazing introduction to his extremely diverse and fabulous catalog of music. He had amazing energy and interacted with the audience like they were old friends! He played a good balance of songs from his new album while showcasing his classics in new and exciting ways.

    Will Hoge Rocked it -

by SPHebert on 11/27/13House of Blues Houston - Houston

I was a little concerned about Will Hoge going mainstream with the success of Strong. No worries, he rocked Houston, did some of my old favorites, plenty from his new album, it was all very good, can't wait to see him live again.

    Simply Amazing!

by gibj200 on 7/29/13Bowery Ballroom - New York

Will Hoge was great ! His voice sounds better than ever. The intimacy of the Bowery Ballroom & the groove of his band made the audience wanting more- and more they got. Will's finally number was sung off the stage, in the center of the hall with his band in toe surrounded by his fans. Awesome. Way to knock it out of the ballpark, Will. Simply Amazing.

    Will Hoge is Astonishing

by Anonymous on 7/29/13Bowery Ballroom - New York

This was the best set of live music I've seen in years. Will Hoge is an incredibly talented musician/songwriter and a terrific perfomer. He deserves to be heard and known by a much wider audience...

    Will Hoge at the Bowery=Fantastic

by dgirl72 on 7/28/13Bowery Ballroom - New York

I have seen Will Hoge a few times now and every time I am just amazed at how fantastic he is live. Most people know him as the writer of EYB Even If It breaks Your Heart, but Will is an incredible singer, songwriter, guitar, piano and harmonica player. His live shows are pretty electric. He gives more than 110% and when the show is over, you are disappointed. If he is near you, seeing him is a MUST. Wade Bowen, from Texas, was the opener. He played an acoustic set that was loved by the audience. These guys have been around for over 10years and you have to ask why aren't they more well known. But they are a well kept secret.

I have been seeing Will Hoge for years and last weeks show was just as top notch as his shows always are. He is an amazing performer that knows how to interact with the crowd. I took friends who had never seen or listened to his music before and they left massive fans. He sings like a god and always puts on the best live music in town.

    Locksley rules

by pwdawgs on 11/15/118x10 - Baltimore

Will Hoge was decent, but Locksley should have been the headliner. These guys are better than most of the crap on the radio today, and I don"t understand why more people don"t know who they are yet! This was my 3rd time seeing them and the 1st time my wife has seen them and she now knows what the fuss is all about.

Will Hoge - Time for Breakthrough

by littlekoz on 11/15/118x10 - Baltimore

I've been a Hoge fan for ten years and I keep waiting for the "rest" of the planet to open their ears. Will has been writing and performing music that will at times warm your heart to its depth (Baby Girl) or rip it right out of your chest (Goodnight/Goodbye & When I Get My Wings). You hear talk about paying your dues; well, how's literally putting your whole body on the line for your craft. I ramble; bottom line:If you're looking for honest, thoughtful and thought-provoking lyrics backed by performances that always light up whatever room he plays, buy a ticket to see him ply his craft. You'll join his legion of fans.

    Locksley made my night!

by CarrieWolf on 11/15/118x10 - Baltimore

I went for Locksley, and they were incredible! Their energy was off the map they rocked it hard. We actually thought they'd hurt themselves the way they were bouncing around. Was not familiar with Hoge, but it was obvious his fans loved him and they had a great sound.

Will Hoge won't be playing small venues for long!!

    by 2NDOLDESTFAN on 10/17/10The Basement - Columbus

Will strolled onto the stage, began playing and did not stop for 2 solid hours!! He had the audience in the palm of his hand. He has the voice, plays some awesome guitar, piano and harmonica, is totally comfortable with his audience...AND can chew gum while both singing and playing Harmonica. There are not many serious young rock stars out there right now....but here is one for you!! I'm not just a kid, I'm a 58 year old "young" woman who loves her music and believe me ....this guy is worth the ticket. He will be moving up in the music world and completely worth the ticket prize. You will get entertainment, great lrics and energy galore. HE'S GOT IT!!!!!!!

Will Hoge rocked 7th St. Entry!!

by ElGatoLoco on 6/18/107th Street Entry - Minneapolis

This was the 3rd time that I have seen Will Hoge and his band. They sound better everytime I go! It was great to see him in a smaller venue like 7th St. Entry! Will puts on one of the best live performances I have ever seen, and his vocals are amazing! I recommend seeing him whenever he is in your area.

    Will never dissapoints...

by Sherbs28 on 6/18/107th Street Entry - Minneapolis

I have seen Will & crew several times live and they have never let me down. I find it truly unbelievable that he has flown under the popular music radar for this long. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I very much enjoy the small shows in the intimate venues. But c'mon...Will is far too talented to keep playing the proverbial hole-in-the-wall joints. If you have never heard his music, go pick up an album. If you have never seen him live, buy a ticket. He will not let you down!

I am amazed that this guy is still flying under the radar. This has to be one of the top 3 Will Hoge shows I have had the pleasure of attending, and I've been to many! His recipe is a whole lotta Rock & Roll with a hint of Country and Soul and a dash of that southern charm ...mmmmmhmmm, makes for a mighty fine good time. The band was right on! LOVE these guys!

    Will Hoge was amazing!

by yyeeaahh on 10/28/09The Basement - Columbus

His preformance was absolutely amazing. He has to ability to radiate passion and brilliance during his shows. The music even seems so much better live then on the cds and I didn't know that could be possible. His show was a whole new experience that I have never had at a concert before and I can't wait for him to come back!

Encore ALMOST bypasses 90 minute set

by Kweenie on 10/26/09Shank Hall - Milwaukee

Mr Hoge must be feeling a whole lot better since his scooter accident last year. Although he started out the show sitting down and did a few songs that way, it was in no way the layout for the rest of the evening. Songs from his new disc, "The Wreckage" out about a month now, were intertwined with many from previous releases. The crowd sang along to every single song he played-all night long. When he finished his set, he was brought back to the stage with the crowd chanting, "Ten more songs!" to which he responded in kind with a ROUSING 55 minute "encore." Yours truly who drove five hours one way to attend got everything and more for her first Hoge show. I believe the rest of the Shank Hall attendees that night would agree.
