  • Penguins Game

by CupChamp10ns on 2/14/10Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza - Wilkes-BarreRating: 2 out of 5

we were diasappointed that the bears lost to the 4th place penguins, but the stadiums entertainment during breaks in the game was really wierd, they had a pengiun marrage and flame pyrotecics when here team entered the ice which is a little too much for a minor league team...esspecially a 4th place one. i think that this team over uses special effects.

  • Pens vs. Bears

by Billtownpensfan on 2/14/10Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza - Wilkes-BarreRating: 4 out of 5

Wonderful facility, parking was free which shocked me. In and out of the arena was smooth and quick. Only issue that we encountered was a large group in attendance for a birthday party. These people drank like fish, made everyone in the row get up and down more often than in church. The language was awful. Thank god I did not see many small children around them once they found their proper seats.

  • Good Action, Convenient Venue

by VacationHomeowner on 2/1/10Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza - Wilkes-BarreRating: 4 out of 5

My son and I really enjoyed going to the WBS Pens/Hershey Bears game on 1/29/10. The overall quality of the hickey was very good, and the arena was easy to access, comfortable inside, and has excellent sight lines throughout. The crowd of 6800 was loud and appreciative while retaining a family friendly atmosphere. This was so much easier and less expensive than attending an NHL game in Philly, NY, NJ or Washington. Really just great fun.

I bought the hockey tickets as a gift; didn't think I would be attending. I'm not a big hockey fan but figured the tickets were paid for and I was invited so . . . what a great time. I assumed it would be cold and uncomfortable, but I could tough it out for a couple of hours. The seats were floor level just behind the teams. Not cold at all, in fact I took my coat off so I could "cheer" more comfortably. If that wasn't enough . . . the Pens won! Highly recommend it, great time!

  • Pens game

by Mandel on 1/31/10Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza - Wilkes-BarreRating: 5 out of 5

I took my niece, daughter and 6yr. old son to the game and we had a fantastic time. We go every year for my niece's birthday. She is a HUGE, HUGE fan and I like to treat her to a game. Tux was his usual zany, funny self and that made for a great time. The players played well and put their all into the game even though they lost. It was a fun night out for all of us and getting out was not too difficult either. Prices were reasonable.

players enthusiasm inspired by chance for the nhl wachovia arena a venue worth waiting for we enjoyed the baby penquins as much or more than the penquins themselves the energy and skill level shown by the players was unbeatable we live in pittsburgh so it was a bit of a ride but look forward to the opportunity to make the trip again thanks

Game was incredible, we love going up to this arena to see the Bears play the Penguins. Coming from Hershey, its a perfect drive and it is rarely crowded. The atmosphere is awesome.

  • I'm Exhausted

by hashbrown0715 on 1/30/10Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza - Wilkes-BarreRating: 4 out of 5

Well, where do I begin? Not even 2 minutes in to the game and there were 2 fights. Not that I go to hockey games just to see the fights, but that certainly did make it an interesting start. Then the Penguins go up 1-0, then 2-1. So I start to think, "Hmm, maybe they have a chance". Then all of a sudden, 1:30 to go before the end of the first period and the Penguins decided to mentally take their break and gave up 3 goals. Then my thoughts go back to, "Figured it was too good to be true that the penguins would win". Next thing you know, the Pens are down 6-2 and basically trying to save face. HOWEVER, the mighty pens fight back to 7-6. Just an all around roller coaster game. I bought the tickets for my wife for one of her Christmas gifts, and she is already talking about when we are going back. Unfortunately, she wants to start going to the Hershey Bears games.........Something about the guys are cuter for some reason. MAYBE I should have something to worry about. Anyhow, what a game. Enjoyed it from start to finish.

  • wish they would have won

    by grameng on 1/10/10Wachovia Arena - Wilkes-BarreRating: 4 out of 5

This was the first time we sat down in the lower level and we enjoyed it. We were behind the netting and so the kids were disappointed that they could not try to catch a t-shirt. They did enjoy the mascot, very entertaining.

    by wrekdiver on 1/3/10Wachovia Arena - Wilkes-BarreRating: 5 out of 5

We took our child, 5yo, to the game and we all had a wonderful time. The whole event is very organized. Everything from parking to finding our seats was a breeze. Of course, the game itself with all the intermissions shows was great to watch!

  • Hockey great for nonsports fans!

I was worried about getting my tickets because I thought I had deleted the email. I just logged into my account though and found the information. The event was very entertaining!

The game was exciting and closely contested the way any hockey game should be.

  • Penguins Phantoms game 12.28.09

    by PhillyBill on 12/29/09Wachovia Arena - Wilkes-BarreRating: 2 out of 5

Got there and our seats were taken by a large group. We had to wait 30 minutes to get 8 seats together. The new seat location was not as good as what we had reserved (and paid the extra $5 per seat premium). The new seat had restricted views but all in all we had a great time!

  • Good family fun.

    by Bowlermom on 12/27/09Wachovia Arena - Wilkes-BarreRating: 4 out of 5

Hockey is a great family sport. To go watch a game with your family after being cooped up in the house during the winter is a good bonding experience along with great entertainment.
