It was a great game down 4 - 1 and came back to win in OT 5 - 4
We don't get to see only but a few games a year but we always enjoy watching the Lil Pens in action!!
Great game, good seats! Overtime shootout... it doesn't get any better than that!
The game was unforgetable with the 2 fights, hat trick and fast skating. It seems as though the rules have changed at the area with regard to walking down to your seats when the game has begun.
The night started with my wife and I meeting my daughter and her boyfriend at Grotto's for a pizza pig out. We drove 1 hour, they drove 2 hours to get there. We went to the Mohegan Sun Arena @ 6:15. Traffic moved quickly into the parking area. The parking lot was a muddy mess. However, that was our only minor complaint of the evening. Everything else was amazing. Top notch facility, nice beverage selection, friendly staff and fans, and a win by the Pens made it a great family night out.
We loved it its about time the pens beat the hershey bears so keep it up.
The Mohegan Sun Arena has good seating all around. The announcing and light/sound show as well as the entertainment of tux (the mascot) was great. The only drawback was the enthusiasm of the crowd could have used some help.
This was our first hockey game ever and what a night. We were so impressed with the arena and with the Penguins team. My two boys, ages 9 and 11 loved sitting right where we could see all the action. We will DEFINITELY be back.
Everything from the team to the venue was top notch. Our seats in 103 were amazing! The Penguins were very entertaining and professional. The people we encountered who worked in the Igloo were very helpful and met all our needs. It was my family's first true hockey experience and we are planning another soon. As a former college student of the area I can say that this team and venue are the best thing that ever happened to the city.
The game was great it was very entertaining & the seats were good but they could have been better but i think i will go back 4 more games and advertise more for Pens games.
Great game, great seats! I feel like there isn't really a bad seat in the house, we were 5 rows from the ice. Definitely going to attend another in the future.
The game was awsome!!! They shut out The Hershey Bears! It was great.
we were diasappointed that the bears lost to the 4th place penguins, but the stadiums entertainment during breaks in the game was really wierd, they had a pengiun marrage and flame pyrotecics when here team entered the ice which is a little too much for a minor league team...esspecially a 4th place one. i think that this team over uses special effects.
Wonderful facility, parking was free which shocked me. In and out of the arena was smooth and quick. Only issue that we encountered was a large group in attendance for a birthday party. These people drank like fish, made everyone in the row get up and down more often than in church. The language was awful. Thank god I did not see many small children around them once they found their proper seats.
was a great game and had a good time. glad i could go to a game so close to home. i love hockey.
My son and I really enjoyed going to the WBS Pens/Hershey Bears game on 1/29/10. The overall quality of the hickey was very good, and the arena was easy to access, comfortable inside, and has excellent sight lines throughout. The crowd of 6800 was loud and appreciative while retaining a family friendly atmosphere. This was so much easier and less expensive than attending an NHL game in Philly, NY, NJ or Washington. Really just great fun.
I bought the hockey tickets as a gift; didn't think I would be attending. I'm not a big hockey fan but figured the tickets were paid for and I was invited so . . . what a great time. I assumed it would be cold and uncomfortable, but I could tough it out for a couple of hours. The seats were floor level just behind the teams. Not cold at all, in fact I took my coat off so I could "cheer" more comfortably. If that wasn't enough . . . the Pens won! Highly recommend it, great time!
I took my niece, daughter and 6yr. old son to the game and we had a fantastic time. We go every year for my niece's birthday. She is a HUGE, HUGE fan and I like to treat her to a game. Tux was his usual zany, funny self and that made for a great time. The players played well and put their all into the game even though they lost. It was a fun night out for all of us and getting out was not too difficult either. Prices were reasonable.
players enthusiasm inspired by chance for the nhl wachovia arena a venue worth waiting for we enjoyed the baby penquins as much or more than the penquins themselves the energy and skill level shown by the players was unbeatable we live in pittsburgh so it was a bit of a ride but look forward to the opportunity to make the trip again thanks
