    Overall a good experience.

    by J. R. on 2/25/20Tacoma Dome - Tacoma

Pros: good visibility to watch the matches, mat numbers and scoreboards easy to see, restroom facilities clean & stocked, trash cans emptied regulary and facility was generally clean Cons: not enough parking, lines to get in very long, not enough healthy food & drink choices, food & drink much too expensive

like going to a Mafia event

    by D. F. on 2/25/20Tacoma Dome - Tacoma

the security is excessive and self-serving resulting in over-priced mediocre food.

    Not that good

    by R. P. on 2/25/20Tacoma Dome - Tacoma

The event had too many mats at once and without a phone app ticketholders, coaches, and loved ones could not tell when a match was impending. With so many matches going at once you had to constantly watch the whole floor and without opera glasses or other artificial visual enhancements and familiarity with school uniforms you could easily miss matches or had to choose which one to watch if they happened at the same time. Acoustics really sucked. On upper levels you could not hear anything but garbled announcements and on lower level could make out some words but never enough to tell what was actually being conveyed. There's no excuse for this in a modern arena. As far as the way the tourney was put together, the organization needs to be much better. Food options at the arena were mostly substandard fare for the athletes or general public.

    Caught in a hard place

by Wrestlemomma on 2/25/20Tacoma Dome - Tacoma

The sound was completely inaudible in upper section on west side. We couldn’t even make out a few words. Parking lots are extremely expensive as is the food (for very low quality) But we are forced into all of this to watch our children in a state tournament. Wa frustrating to not even be able to bring empty water bottles inside for all day event.

    State wrestling

by Allen on 2/20/19Tacoma Dome - Tacoma

Doing the regionals one day and state rhe next day was not the best way to do thinfs so many people sitting on the stairs and in the walk ways. Better planning with the split times would have been better.

    Terrible

by EB on 2/19/19Tacoma Dome - Tacoma

I can't believe the Tacoma dome is set up for concerts, you'd never know that by the logistics that are established at this event. First of all you had better add another (1) hour to your trip planning to be able to get off the single off ramp and find parking at a minim. Even though you have your paid ticket you wont find a spot to sit and watch the event. As all the teams mark off sections of areas for others, saving seats with no bodies in rows and rows. Then you have people in stairwells and hanging everyplace to see the action, often blocking others who are seated, where yelling occurs. Then when you look down at all the mats you can't tell which weight class is completing. No signage or communication for fans to know you down load an app to see this information from your own phone even though they have huge video screens everyplace, remember this place holds mega concerts but you wont see any of those tools being used here for this event your on your own to figure it all out and if you have a competitor participating this just adds to all their stress. Needless to say, this event needs HELP. LOTS of HELP.

    Mat Classic

WIAA did a great job running this event. The staff at the Tacoma Dome left a lot to be desired.

    Horrible seating

by tjutes on 2/19/19Tacoma Dome - Tacoma

The Mat classic was fabulous for those on the mats. If you were in the stands, horrible. The upper stands are so steep. And if you sit on the sides that go the length of the mats on the lower seats, you can't see the mats next to the seats. Very viewer unfriendly.

    Long lines into the venue

by Ang on 2/19/19Tacoma Dome - Tacoma

The lines getting in compared to the time allowed was rediculous. The venue opened at 8:45 and wrestling started at 9:45. There was not enough time to get everyone in there in one hour. People missed their kids wrestling. The venue needs to allow more time or be more efficient in getting people inside. After getting into the venue things were good.

    Awful

by Fan on 2/19/19Tacoma Dome - Tacoma

Waited in line for 90 minutes in rain to get into venue and I had prepurchaaes tickets. Poor viewing. Could not see mats up against bleachers . Not spectator friendly Mats did NOT have classifications or athletes names or weight Crowd control workers extremely grouchy No Gatorade or Powerade to purchase for athletes. Hard to understand announcer with sound system Sadly poor poor production for final. So many mats and then just two wrestler look like little ants. Should be big production for those kids Program had wrong brackets. Didn’t match up in few weight classes Disappointed

    Really needs improvement

    by M. B. on 2/19/19Tacoma Dome - Tacoma

If you like standing in lines, being jambed into small chairs, $6 bottles of water, and $8 slices of greasy pizza, this thing is for you! If my son weren't wrestling in it, I wouldn't be there. They could make it much more enjoyable to be there, but I won't hold my Breath.
