Whoopi Goldberg on Tour
For all her achievements in theater, movies and television, Whoopi Goldberg has never lost her reverence for the connections she forges with audiences at her reliably outrageous stand-up performances.
Her appearance in November, 2019 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City marked another milestone for a performer who first came to wider attention with Whoopi Goldberg, the one-woman stage show she brought to Broadway with the help of director Mike Nichols in 1984. The acclaim for her skills drew the notice of Steven Spielberg, who cast her in the lead role of The Color Purple. Goldberg's Academy Award nomination led to her successful run in a huge variety of dramas and comedies, including such smash hits as Ghost in 1990 and Sister Act two years later.
Her forays into television include her Emmy-winning run as executive producer and resident "center square" personality on her revival of the game show Hollywood Squares. Never afraid to share her views, Goldberg continues to elicit laughs and provoke thoughts as the moderator of ABC's The View.
In March of 2019, she appeared at New York's Beacon Theatre as cohost for Love Rocks NYC, the star-studded annual benefit for the nonprofit organization God's Love We Deliver.
Whoopi Goldberg Background
Born and raised in New York, Whoopi Goldberg caught the performing bug at an early age. Her first audiences were the relatives who gave Goldberg her distinctive nickname, comparing the aspiring comedian to a whoopee cushion.
Her years studying comedy and theater in California and New York led to the development of the characters who filled her first stage hit, which was named The Spook Show before she and director Mike Nichols brought it to Broadway as Whoopi Goldberg in 1984. In 1985, she earned an Academy Award nomination for her first major screen role, in Steven Spielberg's The Color Purple. That launched a movie career that has included such beloved films as Ghost, Sister Act and The Lion King.
Among her television credits are her groundbreaking talk show The Whoopi Goldberg Show and the Emmy-nominated NBC sitcom Whoopi. Her Emmy-winning revival of Hollywood Squares ran from 1998 to 2004. In 2007, she joined Barbara Walters on ABC's The View as the show's new moderator.
One of America's most decorated performers, Goldberg is among the few to win an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony. Her other honors include two Golden Globes, a Drama Desk Award, two American Comedy Awards, the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor and a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.
Whoopi was outstanding!! She is funny, smart and kind!! Whoopi spoke of the joys of aging in such a funny way, aging didn't seem so bad after a good laugh! Whoopi also speaks the truth and addresses current events so that everyone can have a view! We were so happy we went to see her! The Kings Theatre is beautiful!! Definitely go back for another event!
This is a show not to miss. A laugh a minute, non-stop, one hilarious joke after another. Definitely a must-see but to be honest this is not a show for children or people of the cloth.

Whoopi was Wonderful!!!! Whoopie!!! I see her everyday on The View and haven't seen her LIVE since her One Woman Show on Broadway, sorry I waited so long to see her in person again. Her commentary, the jokes and the Q&A all thoroughly enjoyable.
She had me laughing from beginning to end, she was brilliant, she made you think she was funny as hell, This show is not for kids, someone brought a kid to our show and everyone cringed including Whoopi at the end when we found out there was a pre-teen among us. Whoopi was everything I expected her to be.

What an amazing show this woman put on. We laughed from the time she stepped on the stage to the minute bshe left. She made sure to warn people that this show was not the view and if questionable language is a problem, leave. The material applied to todays views and the story about her brother was hilarious but heartfeldt. I have always enjoyed Whoopi in all she does and this show was no different. Hope she comes back again so my husband can come with me.
Whoopi Goldberg was hilarious. I've been a fan since I was 8 years old and I saw her Comedy Hour on HBO and then saw Jumpin' Jack Flash after that. My mom and my sisters came with me as well and loved her and the show she put on.
Whoopi you were very funny. I would definitely come to another show! You seem to be a very down to earth kind of gal.... I will certainly pass the word of the great show you put on. And so you know what a great fan I am of yours ... you are the reason we DVR The View everyday!!! Thanks for the hospitality!! Hope you will return to Niagara Falls, NY.
Whoopi was incredible! She started right on time and continued on for about 90 minutes, and I must say she was hysterical. She interacts with the audience and keeps everyone engaged, and wanting more! She truly is one of the greatest stand-up comedians of all time and if you ever get the opportunity to go and see her live, it is worth it. Also, she DOES NOT push her political views on the audience, nor does she tear the other side down. Well worth the money!!
I saw Whoopi at the Seneca Niagara Casino Friday Evening and all I san say is WOW...She was incredible and she did not disappoint!! She is the Real Deal!!!

Great time very funny n relatable to life as I get older. My mom enjoyed the event. Seats were close which we all appreciated
My husband and I were celebrating our 44th wedding aniversary that night, so we had a wonderful way to celebrate. Whoopi is a terrific comedienne, actress and TV host. We couldn't wait to see her act. She made us laugh hysterically and cry with happy tears. I love that she says what she feels and doesn't care what anyone else thinks of her opinions. After all, she is entitled to her own opinions. She was so funny. I did not expect her to be as she appears on the View and I knew it. She is just fantastic. She talked about how her mom raised her and gave her credit for the way she is today.
It was so great to see Whoopi that words cannot begin to describe it. It felt like it was a small group. She talks like she is personally speaking to each person. Always amazing to attend her performance!!!
The show was good but she took questions from the audience for about 20 minutes. Most of the questions were rediculous! It went on way too long!
Whoopi is very funny !! You have to be ready for the filth humor.
I saw Whoopi Last night at the Seneca Niagara Casino and all I can say is.....I cannot wait to see her again!! She was all I expected and more!! She is the real deal and even under the stress of getting to her show because of bus issues and WEATHER she was the ultimate performer!!
Great Show! I would have preferred more of Whoopi's standup rather then the question answer section in the second half.
