Whitney Cummings is a Los Angeles-based comedian, actor, writer, producer and director. Best known for creating and starring in the NBC series "Whitney," she also co-created and co-wrote (with Michael Patrick King) the Emmy-nominated CBS comedy series "2 Broke Girls."
In November of this year, Whitney launched her own podcast titled "Good For You." Whitney has a lot of questions for a lot of different kinds of people. She also has opinions. And a robot. "Good For You" is self-produced by Whitney alongside Made By Super and records in Los Angeles. New episodes are released on Wednesdays.
Whitney debuted her 4th stand up special, "Can I Touch It?" on Netflix on July 30th. The special includes Whitney's signature incisive commentary on gender dynamics is more relevant than ever. Filmed at the Sidney Harmon Hall in her hometown, Washington, DC. The special touches Whitney's take on everything including her signature incisive commentary on gender dynamics and why we should give sex robots a chance.
Up next, Whitney will star and executive produce a new half-hour comedy for Amazon, "Good People" which she co-created alongside Lee Daniels. The show revolves around three generations of women working in the ombudsman's office of a college that navigates the current cultural climate, the concept of feminism across different generations, and the struggle to reconcile socially constructed ideas with current ethical views regarding complex issues such as sec, race, class and gender.
In October 2017, Whitney debuted her novel "I'm Fine...And Other Lies," which details her brutal anxiety and codependency disorder, written with her trademark entertaining wit, humor, and honesty. That same year, Whitney made her directorial debut with the feature adaptation of Louann Brizendine's best-seller, "The Female Brain". In addition to co-writing and directing, she stars alongside Sofia Vergara, James Marsden, Lucy Punch, Toby Kebbell, Cecily Strong, Beanie Feldstein, and Blake Griffin. "The Female Brain" comically details the inner workings and complex power of brain chemistry among couples at different stages of their relationships. The film premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival and was distributed by IFC.
On the big screen, Whitney was last seen in "Unforgettable" for Warner Bros. Past feature film credits include "The Wedding Ringer," "Made of Honor," and "The Ridiculous Six." Whitney has appeared in such series as "Undateable," "Workaholics," "Maron" and the Comedy Central Roasts, which have solidified her presence in comedy television.

Her second one-hour stand-up special, "Whitney Cummings: I Love You," debuted on Comedy Central in June 2014. Her third one-hour stand-up special "I'm Your Girlfriend," aired on HBO in 2016.
Good show, on time, will see her again! Seating was good also, drinks were cold and delicious
It was a very enjoyable show. We had never seen a female comedian. Not that we didn’t like them, there just wasn’t anyone we were interested in seeing. Whitney engaged the audience, that was pretty funny. It was a good show
Whitney was very funny and a good entertainer. This review is more about the venue and crowd. The people behind us must have received comp tickets because they talked loudly throughout the whole concert. Whitney did some crowd participation which went on too long with boring and seemingly drunk audience members. I will not be back to a venue at the Hardrock ballroom.
Laughed so hard, I cried! Will check her out again if she comes back to Winnipeg!
We loved her comedy from the Comedy Central Roasts, but Whitney’s brand of storytelling and social commentary misses the mark compared to those efforts, or even her prior stand up specials. On the plus side, her opening act was very entertaining.
This was yet another great evening of comedy with Whitney Cummings. She was funny and charming and interacted with the audience. The Music Box was a nice venue for the show.
We don’t go out much so we can’t compare to other live performances. Loved Whitney in her online comedy specials and her show. Seeing her live, she really connected with the audience when she performed. She didn’t stick to a ‘set’ but went off script which made it a unique and enjoyable experience. She is naturally hilarious.
She le tured for over an hour about trans gender rights, and wasnt funny. I was very disappointed. We went for a laugh, not a lecture.
A professional in all aspects WC is not to be missed!!
Love Whitney Cummings and was very excited to see her show. The show was disappointing and mediocre at best. She was trying out new material and just seemed off her game. She did take selfies after the show with the audience but when asked for an autograph she stated she hurt her hand after signing several others. The venue was perfect for an intimate show but would not spend the money to see her again.
Whitney Cummings was absolutely hilarious and so kind. She allowed everyone to take photos and get autographs. She is the best!!! Definitely cant wait to see her again
The show was amazing! Whitney was crazy funny, very entertaining!
The event was awesome! Plenty of parking. Easy to get to. Whitney is absolutely hysterical! I haven't laughed that hard in so long. She's personable too. At the end, she let us go up and get selfies with her in stage!
First off, the seats were so close together not one man could sit straight in their seats. That was just an observation, we were in the tenth row back and not one man was able to sit squarely in their chair. If you are going to sell so many tickets just put us in a bigger venue please! The biggest disappointment was the actual “comedy”. It was more of a round table discussion on the topic of being transgender which is fine BUT not funny.
Funny at times,,, BUT too much on todays issues,,also didn't help that there was a unwelcome heckler in the audience that wanted to be part of the show,,,, she shut him down but took way too long..
Had such a good time. Loved the show! She killed it. The staff was amazing and super nice. Had a really good time. Cannot wait to go back
She was great! A consummate comic. Even though she was working on new material, she still had high energy & attention to detail. Also very funny! We wished the club had tv screens facing the stage because we were seated very close to the stage & they showed some videos of Whitney’s podcasts. We couldn’t see the screen because we were on the side of the stage. Otherwise the venue was very professional and enjoyable.
Saw whitney at the taft theatre in Cincinnati. Venue was amazing. There wasnt a bad seat in the house. The opener was hilarious and Whitney was everything i thought she would be and more. She's probably the most engaging comedian ive ever seen. She ended the show with a roast of Cincinnati which was hilarious and then stayed after to take photos with any fan who wanted them....all with a smile on her face.
Opening acts not so great except the last one but Whitney was fantastic. She is extremely talented.
Whitney definitely did not disappoint, I laughed the entire time & she was interactive with her audience.
