Whitney Cummings on Tour

Whitney Cummings is a Los Angeles-based comedian, actor, writer, producer and director. Best known for creating and starring in the NBC series "Whitney," she also co-created and co-wrote (with Michael Patrick King) the Emmy-nominated CBS comedy series "2 Broke Girls."

In November of this year, Whitney launched her own podcast titled "Good For You." Whitney has a lot of questions for a lot of different kinds of people. She also has opinions. And a robot. "Good For You" is self-produced by Whitney alongside Made By Super and records in Los Angeles. New episodes are released on Wednesdays.

Whitney debuted her 4th stand up special, "Can I Touch It?" on Netflix on July 30th. The special includes Whitney's signature incisive commentary on gender dynamics is more relevant than ever. The special touches Whitney's take on everything including her signature incisive commentary on gender dynamics and why we should give sex robots a chance.

Up next, Whitney will star and executive produce a new half-hour comedy for Amazon, "Good People" which she co-created alongside Lee Daniels. The show revolves around three generations of women working in the ombudsman's office of a college that navigates the current cultural climate, the concept of feminism across different generations, and the struggle to reconcile socially constructed ideas with current ethical views regarding complex issues such as sec, race, class and gender.

In October 2017, Whitney debuted her novel "I'm Fine...And Other Lies," which details her brutal anxiety and codependency disorder, written with her trademark entertaining wit, humor, and honesty. That same year, Whitney made her directorial debut with the feature adaptation of Louann Brizendine's best-seller, "The Female Brain". In addition to co-writing and directing, she stars alongside Sofia Vergara, James Marsden, Lucy Punch, Toby Kebbell, Cecily Strong, Beanie Feldstein, and Blake Griffin. "The Female Brain" comically details the inner workings and complex power of brain chemistry among couples at different stages of their relationships. The film premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival and was distributed by IFC.

On the big screen, Whitney was last seen in "Unforgettable" for Warner Bros. Past feature film credits include "The Wedding Ringer," "Made of Honor," and "The Ridiculous Six." Her second one-hour stand-up special, "Whitney Cummings: I Love You," debuted on Comedy Central in June 2014. Her third one-hour stand-up special "I'm Your Girlfriend," aired on HBO in 2016.

  • Great show ehh venue

by Sr on 10/5/21The Wilbur - BostonRating: 4 out of 5

The show was great, but the venue was extremely hot and compounded by a mask and every seat occupied. There was no observation of COVID besides the mask. There was so many ppl within 6ft of me. That could be why the venue security was so vigilant about the mask policy. I get it, everyone wants to make money. In conclusion, I would love to see WC again, but maybe at a different location. If the goal is to make money maybe they could have turned the AC on once everyone was packed inside.

  • Worth every penny!

Easily one of the best comedy shows I’ve been two. Whitney was incredible and so were the two openers. She even stayed after the show for pictures with the audience. Will definitely see her at the Wilbur again!

Whitney and her team were amazing. The Wilbur were a little to strict when it came to drinking. But, Whitney made the experience perfect.

  • whitney rocked…but

    by mrach414 on 10/4/21The Wilbur - BostonRating: 4 out of 5

I loved the show, when Whitney took the stage. Before that was so so. Also the seating was very cramped and uncomfortable. But Whitney was just perfect.

Throughout the show the audience was responding with laughter in an almost nonstop way. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the show.

She was just as hilarious as I knew she would be. She even stayed until the last person got their selfie with her, which I thought was stellar 😍

The venue was great, The first comedian was amazing. And then Whitney came on it became okay. But I didn’t hate her just seemed like she wasn’t prepared. I would definitely try to go see her again. Because I’ve laughed my ass off on her skits before

  • Always a good time

    by A. T. on 5/21/19Orleans Showroom - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Saw Whitney Cummings in Vegas. She is always entertaining. She is truly relatable. I also love that the proceeds from the show were being given to two very worthy causes: animal rights and LA firefighters

  • Very female directed

I found it funny but it wasn’t relatable for my boyfriend.

  • Sex robot!

by Fien on 11/15/18Punch Line Comedy Club - Sacramento - SacramentoRating: 4 out of 5

Great. Terrific. She had interesting views on topics. She was also sweet enough to take photos wit anyone that wanted to after the show.

  • Amazing show!

Hilarious! and she was just testing out her material. Great job!

  • Great comedy, annoying hecklers

by LuckyFoxy on 5/14/18Cobb's Comedy Club - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

Whitney Cummings was hilarious, awesome and brilliant. Unfortunately there were two female hecklers that were annoying the crap out of everyone. I saw the staff discreetly ask them to stop, but it kept throwing off the night and was a bit of a bummer. I know hecklers are a part of the deal sometimes at comedy shows but this was a bit over the top. Despite that I still plan on going back to this venue and I'd see Whitney Cummings again either at Cobbs or anywhere else.

  • Don't miss Whitney!

by Lizbian on 5/14/18Cobb's Comedy Club - San FranciscoRating: 3 out of 5

She's fun, she's real, she's gorgeous, and she's obviously hilarious. I'm a fan, so of course I made sure to see her while she was in the Bay Area. I've seen her before and I'll definitely see her again! (Note: Three stars is for venue. Cobb's is just okay. WHITNEY is the best!)

  • Whitney never disappoints

by Strycnyn on 5/13/18Cobb's Comedy Club - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

This was in her quotes the weirdest show she has ever had and we loved every moment of it. Whitney involved the audience in a part of her show and they were outrageous. Between her newly adopted daughter that kept coming and going during the show and practically stripping and an older gentleman that was luring two 21 year old women to his front and center VIP table, there was enough material for the whole show. It was weirdly fun and entertaining for sure. Her content was fresh and she rolled with whatever came up and was able to make us all roll on the floor laughing. This is my second show with her here and I was a huge fan of her show Whitney back in the day. I’d recommend seeing her live anytime! Can’t wait to see her again next time!

  • SO WORTH PUTTING PANTS ON!

by ChunkyLove22 on 5/1/18Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 5 out of 5

We don't ever do anything- and we hardly ever leave our house- yet alone to spend money to do things. I love my bed, love not having to wear pants at home and love my cats and I am A OK with that life! LOL. Boyfriend is the same. HOWEVER. Whitney is one of- if not my ALL time- favorite comedians and since she was here and tickets were like $50- my boyfriend and I decided to go since we know she is hilarious and it would be a chill night. Small venue was awesome- we were literally last row but still close to the stage and could hear and see fine! We bought the end row tickets next to the handicap seats assuming they wouldn't be bought so we had 4 chairs all to ourselves and didn't have to cram against the dude next to us. OVERALL SO WORTH IT! She is amazing and super interactive with the audience and her fans after the show. We stayed after to walk up to the stage since she does selfies with fans and just waited until we were the last couple people. She truly took the time to talk to everyone and made sure EVERY SINGLE PERSON got their picture with her! SO SWEET! She is amazing and I am so happy I put pants on and left the house to see her.

  • Amazing as always!

by Dollfaceg1 on 5/1/18Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 5 out of 5

Whitney is so great! She puts on a show so hilarious your face will hurt! Even better, she takes time for her fans and is an all around awesome person! Do not miss a chance to see her!!!!

  • by PaulsWife2 on 11/21/17The Wilbur - BostonRating: 4 out of 5

Whitney was awesome ... the show wasn't long enough. We were in/out of the venue in 85 minutes, and it started 20 minutes late. That being said both her opener - Orlando Baxter and she were really really funny. But I am glad I didn't see her online comedy show, the material was exactly the same. Love the Wilbur - no seat is bad and drinks are worth the $$$.
