WHITESNAKE IN CONCERT:
Legendary hard rock outfit Whitesnake has been inspiring serious headbanging for three decades, and they’re still electrifying audiences in 2015 with a refreshed and reloaded lineup for the Purple Tour. Ticket buyers can expect a thrilling experience when legendary frontman David Coverdale holds out the microphone for them to join in on mega hits like “Here I Go Again” and “Is This Love”. Guitarists Joel Hoekstra and Reb Beach back him up with plenty of fire power as they unleash insanely fast licks and pummeling power chords. Meanwhile, drummer Tommy Aldridge and bassist Michael Devin tie it all together with their smooth yet intricate grooves. Fans of classic hard rock showmanship won't want to miss Whitesnake as they continue to let it all hang out on tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Whitesnake was formed in Middlesbrough, England in 1978 by David Cloverdale, a British rocker who had previously fronted pioneering hard rock outfit Deep Purple. The band maintained solid record sales in their native England throughout the early ‘80s with hits like “Fool for Your Loving”, but label executive David Geffen suggested they might attract an American audience with a more commercially accessible sound. Whitesnake responded with their self-titled 1987 album, which contained the hits “Here I Go Again” and “Is This Love”. Both songs received heavy rotation on radio and MTV, eventually pushing album sales to 8 million copies. Though the band remained successful for the remainder of the decade, Coverdale announced an indefinite hiatus for Whitesnake in 1991. After some one-off shows and brief tours in the ‘90s, the band officially reformed in 2002 and went on to release the albums Good to Be Bad (2008) and Forevermore (2011). Coverdale and Whitesnake returned in 2015 with The Purple Album, which treated fans to a retrospective of his illustrious career with covers of some of his best songs from his Deep Purple days.
Had a great time at the Whitesnake Concert! The sound was incredible and the band put on an awesome show!!
Great show, High energy right from the start. Sounded great.
Whitesnake put on a good rock and roll show .. brought me back in time.. play all the old hits as well as new songs which sounded heavy .. fun time had by all
Still putting on a good show but could have played longer, maybe just over an hour show.
Justa Really Good show. The sound was really good also
David still sounds amazing! He wasn’t feeling well and still sounded great & put on a high energy show. Tommy played part of his solo with bare hands. If you hadn’t seen it you would’ve never know he wasn’t using sticks! Absolutely incredible show!
Excellent venue very convenient overall awesome show my wife and I enjoyed it very much great to see classic bands still rocking
Still sounds good after all these years of performing. The whole crowd was on their feet and dancing and singing along the whole show.
Easy in easy out at Twin Rivet. Had lots of screens to see close ups of the band but I could see well from my seats.
It was a good show, even 30 years later. They still can rock!
They played well. Had high energy. Had s great time.
I loved the opening band The Black Moods, and the venue was great! Had a blast!🤩🤘😊
I love Whitesnake anyways, but they are killing it on this tour! The new album is fantastic and the songs sound great live! Winger’s guitarist Reb Beach is one of my all time favorites and he fits in the band so well. Davis Coverdale is an awesome front man, he sounds great, looks great and gets the crowd going! For my money’s worth out of this one for sure!
From moment they hit the stage they had the crowd.... One smash after another and new songs fit perfectly... Total trip back to 80s loved it immensely
They were solid and the new stuff was great! David was on top of his game.
Enjoy the show, not as crazy about general admission as I once was. Musicians with spot-on, guitar solos with stellar. David coverdale's voice doesn't seem to quite hit the high notes anymore but overall his performance was good
Whitesnake tried to push too many of their new album's songs. I was not impressed at all. This was my 4th Whitesnake concert and it was the worst so far.
Great show love the small venue felt up close and personal would see them again
One of the top bands with 2 smoking guitarists, a busy bass man who ties rhythm and guitars together, a drummer who kust doesn't stop. And what can be added about singer David Coverdale...still bringing it! Loved the show, will buy the album this week.
I very much enjoyed the sold-out show of Whitesnake at the breath taking venue Penns Peak
