White Christmas On Tour
This Christmas classic is as much a cultural institution as Coca Cola or Thanksgiving dinner, and its music feels like it’s been around nearly as long.
White Christmas originated as a 1954 musical film from Paramount Pictures, directed by Michael Curtiz (Casablanca, Mildred Pierce). The narrative came from David Ives and Paul Blake, while famed Tin Pan Alley composer Irving Berlin wrote the music and lyrics. A star-studded event of the highest order, White Christmas starred Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, and Vera-Ellen. In the film story, singers Bob Wallace and Phil Davis meet up with Betty and Judy Haynes to perform a Christmas show in rural Vermont. When they find out that their old commander from the war, General Waverly, is having trouble keeping his inn afloat, they try to help out by putting on a blockbuster musical show.
White Christmas came to the stage in 2000, where it premiered at The Muny in St. Louis as Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. It then played in San Francisco in 2004, going on to tour the U.S. and Canada. The show toured the U.K. during Christmases from 2006 to 2011, after which it saw a limited engagement on Broadway, running 53 performances and 12 previews in 2008 and 2009. In the subsequent few years, it toured the U.S. again, garnering acclaim, including two Tony Award nominations in 2009 for Best Choreography and Best Orchestrations. That same year, White Christmas was nominated for six Drama Desk Awards, including Outstanding Director of a Musical, Choreography, Orchestrations, Set Design, Costume Design, and Sound Design.
Whether you’re an old fan or new to these tunes, you can’t do much better than catching White Christmas during the holiday season.

Great production. Excellent performance by all cast members. Made watching origional movie even better.
If you love the movie you will be very disappointed in this show. They changed so much from the story to the characters to the ending. They added music not in the movie and left out or ruined some that was. The very distinguished general from the movie is portrayed as a nut case. The lovely young woman that was is granddaughter, is an annoying youngster. I could go on and on. The only reason I am giving it one star is for the few performances that were true to the movie and were done well.
Very enjoyable show. The singing, dancing, and acting were all done very well! I have never seen the actual White Christmas movie but enjoyed this production so much I watched it over the weekend!
Exceptional singing and dancing. Thoroughly enjoyed.
It was fantastic. The singing and dancing were great!
It was so fun seeing the old song and dance. You can't beat the old movies from the 50's. The cast did the movie version proud and were such fun to watch. Highly recommend it to everyone!
I love the movie and this musical was delightful. Dancing was super. .. And it was hard to sit still in my seat. Loved singing White Christmas at the end.
Excellent! Beautiful costumes, great song and dance. Put you in the Christmas spirit!
I really enjoyed the show. My favorite Christmas movie is White Christmas and seeing it on stage really put me in the holiday spirit. I would recommend seeing this for the holidays. I hope you will do something just as amazing next year.
The White Christmas movie had a rather thin plot line befitting of a Hollywood stage play. Who would have thought the broadway version would be even thinner? The voices were good enough, the choreography was average. The "crowd" was light, perhaps because the weather outside was frightful. We should have stayed home and watched the movie
The show was great. The singing and dancing was top notch. They took some liberties with the story and used some new songs but it all worked. If you like Christmas and the original movie u will love the show even with the changes.
The show was very well done and adapted to the stage. Costumes were beautiful and loved the music and dancing. It really puts you into the Christmas Spirit. All the Actors did a terrific job and received a standing ovation at the end. Would definitely come back to see it again!
I took my wife as a surprise, This is one of her favorite Christmas movies. She had a blast and knew the words to every song. her eyes lit up with joy. The cast was great. The costumes shined in the lights and kept our attention the whole time. I would see it again. I recommend this show to anyone.
I took my Mom as a birthday present. She loved it! It was great to see the smile on her face. She is a huge fan and never misses watching the movie during the holiday. Go ahead by a couple of tickets to this show. You'll be glad you did.
Wonderful show, enjoyed it as much as the classic movie. Left feeling ready for the holiday season. Could see it every year!
I went expecting something like the movie, but got very little. It had song and dances not even in the original. I know that there is a certain amount of adapting but I have seen many other musicals on the stage and not one other left me bored or unhappy. I was so excited to go and see it and I left just after intermission If you like a show and you have never seen the moview WHite Christmas, then it might be ok. But in general very dissapointing. I wasted over $120 plus $$$
I loved the play! The singing and dancing was amazing!!
I took my entire family to see White Christmas. It was a great show...we are hoping to make this a yearly tradition!
White Christmas lived up to expectations. Love the music, and performance. Recommend all see this to get into the holiday spirit.
