Another level of brilliance layered on top of the pure genius that is, was and will forever be Freddy Mercury and Queen, is simply more than I can put into words. Of particular note is the large amount of Queen music sung in a female voice - not what you are used to hearing. I don't think I will ever be able to listen to a Queen song (regardless who sings it) without thinking of this show.

The leads were outstanding, especially Scaramouche and Buddy Holly & the Crickets. Stephanie Sy is adorable! I was very disappointed in the removal of the song "One Vision" from the program. And the Killer Queen's numbers were not as strong as the others. But, I have my tickets for Philly!

Wonderful Experience for any Queen Fan

by Anonymous on 10/22/13Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

Very interesting twist on the music of Queen. Really funny characters. A lot of references to pop culture in general, not just Queen. The main character, Galileo Figuero, was a bit annoying, seemed to be overacting which took a lot away from his performance. The others were perfect for their roles. The lighting was distracting at times, but overall the show was really good

by TBKRWKlove4ever on 10/22/13Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

This show is terrific. Of course the songs were great, we love Queen and the music. The performers sang the songs so well. Very good show, great sets, high energy and even threw in quite a bit of humor. Enjoyed how they incorporated lines from songs we all recognized. Very clever. There were 7 of us at the show from age 10 to 79 and we all loved it. Rock On!!!

Add to your list of must sees!

by Srebbert on 10/22/13Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

We Will Rock You was a fun rocking night out. My husband who played music during Queen's heyday was especially appreciative of all the subtle Queen references including script, album covers, etc. The band was AMAZING! Loved the iconic and timely cultural nods throughout the show.

Fun Day with Nephew at the Saturday Matinee

by Drummer5 on 10/22/13Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

Attended with nephew who is into music, taking drum lessons and a pretty good rock drummer already . He appreciates classic rock music from the 70's. He knows of Queen and their music and was excited to attend. This was the first play he ever attended and wasn't aware of this being a story around the music. He thought it'd be a documentary of the band, my fault for not explaining. He loved the BAND on the upper level. I did pre advise him of the "pit", I was wrong on that one!. The music was really good, the story much fun and fast moving. No lull and kept everyone's attention. Thanks fro a great 1st play and fun afternoon.

A fun show that I wouldn't mind experiencing again, hopefully with a more involved audience. Musicians did a great job, as were the singers/performers.

    Poorly written and annoying characters.

by amendoza on 10/21/13Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

First things first, I am an a BIG fan of Queen's music that was the primary reason why I bought tickets to see the show. The songs were performed well, no complaints there. My biggest disappointment was the story. I get it, they built the story to accommodate the songs they were playing with, but there was no coherence what so ever in the story line, it was painful, forced and the character poorly developed and some of them extremely annoying. Bottom line: This show will never make to Broadway.

    We Will Rock You

by EagleWarrior on 10/19/13Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

Saw it at Baltimore's beautiful, elegant Hippodrome Theater. It was Sensational! Awesome!! Electrifying!!! It was a total, immersive, multi-media experience. Briefly, the story is set in a dystopian future where music is not allowed. It centers on a group called the Bohemians who rebel and want to revive rock. If you’re a Queen fan, as I am, it’s their music incorporated into the show. It's a definite, not to be missed. The production is dazzling. The cast outstanding. The lead singers are fabulous. The dancers and choreography are wonderful and the band will knock your socks off.

"We Will Rock You" definitely ROCKS!

by Mickey108 on 10/18/13Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

My daughter and I are huge Queen fans, so we were very excited to see the show. We attended on opening night and got a surprise when Queen's lead guitarist, Brian May, played during the encore. Awesome! The show was hilarious. The vocals and the band were amazing. While it centered around Queen songs, the show had its own story line, great visual effects, interesting costumes and so much humor. If you have the opportunity, please see "We Will Rock You". It doesn't matter if you are an old Queen fan, a young rock-n-roller or just a lover of musicals.

We Will Rock You was average at best!

by DEVINETHEATRE on 10/18/13Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

I so wanted to appreciate this show. Unlike other shows where they have successfully written a story line around a genre of music(Rock of Ages(musical not movie)/Mama Mia), the whole plot was quite boring and, at times, quite stupid. How many Britney Spears jokes can we throw out in one show.
