Great Experience. My 13 year old loved being introduced to Queen's music.
Very talented performers. Music score was great. Plot, however, was confusing, hard to follow, and basically never made sense.
Sorry this show was not entertaining to me. The "Queen" reference in the title sold me, but the music was not that great. We left at intermission. It reminded me of a high school musical. Not an entertaining performance at all.
The sound system was terrible and the volume so loud we left after 30 minutes. We were really looking forward to the music but, instead, received splitting headaches. A reminder to always check reviews and not rely on glitzy ads.
I can not believe I spent the same money on this show as Dear Evan Hansen. Waste of time and money. We left at intermission and I NEVER do that.
The Show was excellent, the performers where mind blowing talented. I didn’t want the show to end. Had people rocking in the aisles. I do not feel that this event was advertised as well as it could have been by the lack of patrons. Large sections of the theater were empty. I would hate for such quality performance to stop coming to jackson.
The show was horrid. The premise is silly and the sound was awful. When we could actually hear the vocals, the performers were doing a good job. Otherwise, whenever they spoke their lines, they screamed them. It seemed they were directed to speak in the most nasal and shrill voice they could muster. And the mix of the overall sound was terrible.
Went with my niece and her two daughters...we had a wonderful time. The musical was amazing, entertaining, exciting, funny, and loved the outfits. Loved the story line and being huge Queen fans, we took a walk down memory lane and loved singing to all the Queen songs. If We Will Rock You returns in the future, we will definitely attend again.
We had no idea what to expect and had not read anything about it. We just love the music of Queen. The storyline was silly, the acting voices annoying, but the singing was good. It would have been better if they just went out there and sang all of Queen’s hits. We liked the few times they showed the band.
If you like the songs of Queen... and enjoy the music of Queen - this is a perfect show to attend. Quality performance and great songs. You will be dancing a bit through this show!
Fantastic show. Sound volume just right. Audience participation was great.
OK, I got the premise, it had potential. But the talking was too fast and so loud it was routinely distorted, in fact the band was so loud you could understand very little dialogue, and not being that familiar with the Queen lyrics, 1/2 the songs and the mixed-in dialogue were a jumbled mess. The audience applauded politely after several songs. I will say the actors and singing were very good to top notch... but there was that constant distraction of noise and over-amplification. Never did figure out what happened to the Queen. The anticipated last 3 songs were the only saving grace for us. I have enjoyed several concerts here, this one was a bust for us.
The experience at Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land, Texas was bizarre. They did about three famous songs at the end in a concert style format. The rest of the show before that, although very professionally done by talented performers, was not a concert. It is hard to describe. I am trying to forget it.
This was a terrific show and i highly recommend it. The performers were excellent and enthusiastic. The staging was creative and effective. I can't say enough about the band. A talented, live rock and roll band really makes this show work I give 5 stars for the performance but deduct 1 for the venue. Handicap parking is grossly inadequate and not van accessible.
Platt was quite cheesy Sets not very exciting choreography for the average. Music was excellent! Band was outstanding!
The music was performed well and the singers had good voices, but the storyline was completely lame. The songs didn't fit in to the story well and it had to be forced in, like square pegs into a round hole. We left at intermission. Don't waste your money - just buy a Queen cd and t-shirt instead.
Really disappointed. Thought it would be more Queen related.
Very disappointed – I thought I was watching high school musical. The voices were excellent, the story was basic, except the screws and the costumes were simple.
Great show! I was very impressed how the queen songs were written in play. Good humor and the vocals were great.
Such a treat to see and hear this spectacular musical.
