Multiple Emmy Award-winning and Grammy Award- nominated Wayne Brady has made his mark on stage and screen as an actor, producer, singer, dancer, songwriter, and television personality.
A true multi-hyphenate, Brady's career path and personal life journey, has helped him see the world in a unique way. His aspirations have always gone beyond solely starring in various entertainment projects, and under his Makin' It Up Productions banner, he's set out to create new content across different platforms that showcase innovation and inclusivity in fun and powerful ways.
A five-time Emmy winner (the first to win Daytime and Primetime awards in two consecutive years), Brady has an impressive TV resume including Whose Line Is It Anyway? The Masked Singer, Black Lighting, The Good Fight and Showtime's American Gigolo- each spotlighting different aspects of his immense talent.
In addition to being a force in front of the camera, Brady is heavily active behind the scenes wearing the hats of host & executive producer for Let's Make A Deal, Game of Talents and Comedy IQ, which he also co-created. All of this following on the heels of the success of his award-winning daytime talk show The Wayne Brady Show.
Long an accomplished singer and performer, Brady's musical acumen has always been a personal passion and he used that as fuel to help win the second season of The Masked Singer. Off his victory, Brady dropped a brand-new original single, entitled "Flirtin' w/ Forever," which quickly climbed the streaming charts, as well as an accompanying music video.
This follows the success of his debut album which was headlined by a version of Sam Cooke's "A Change is Gonna Come" which earned him a Grammy Award nomination in the Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance category.
Brady has also triumphed on-stage started with his Broadway debut starring as legal showman 'Billy Flynn' in the long-running hit musical, "Chicago." Soon after Brady starred as the ground-breaking character 'Lola' in "Kinky Boots," Broadway's Tony Award- winning Best Musical, with music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein. Brady would later assume his biggest theatrical role to date headlining as 'Aaron Burr' in the Chicago production of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Tony Award- winning juggernaut "Hamilton."
Recently Brady returned to Broadway as part of Freestyle Love Supreme working with the production team of Lin-Manuel Miranda, Thomas Kail, and Anthony Veneziale. The unique show combines the fusion of hip hop, improv, and comedy which won it a special Tony Award for its innovation and contributions to the world of theater. Earlier this year he announced he will again partner with the Freestyle Love Supreme team as well as Speechless to create "FLS+," a new company committed to making improv globally accessible.
Brady's career evolution has also expanded to TikTok, amassing a stellar following in a short period of time. Whether utilizing social media to raise awareness to important social issues or collaborating with his extended family, the medium has helped him continue to reach and interact with new fans in surprising and innovative ways.
Wayne Brady currently resides in Los Angeles.
On December 11, I saw Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle at Chase Center and I must say that Wayne had me laughing much more December 30th at Graton.
My wife and I enjoyed the show. Wayne Brady does a form of comedy that I think few comedians could match. He has a unique way of getting the audience involved in his show. His ability to make songs from any topic is impressive. This was a perfect date night for us.
We were in tears we laughed so hard. Wayne Brady is so smart as well as funny. His creativity is off the chart especially with his musical talent. Audience members throwing out difficult words that he used correctly in his songs takes more than just skill. He's a must see if you can!
Wayne Brady is the best improv comedian today. The laughs are so big and you marvel at his creative show. Highly recommend.
Mr Wayne Brady gave a excellent improv show. He is immensely talented and with great showmanship! I definitely go see him again in the future! Great seats and great show! Thank you!
Wayne Brady and Jonathan Mangum were amazing. The way they can come up with songs and stories so quickly is astounding! I love listening to Wayne sing and wish he had done a regular song or two, but his improv skills are the best in the business. I loved so hard I cried. I just wish it had been a little bit longer- it was only about 75-80 minutes.
He was funny and honest. The people he works with on let’s make a deal we’re great, they were all on cue. They bounced off each other doing the improv. Wayne and the other guy were amazing. I would see his show again.
I knew this was going to be different and Wayne Brady did not disappoint. It was a full Improv show with music and skits. It would have been 5 stars if he would have danced. He is such a multi-talented performer and the show was engaging, light-hearted, and fun. If you are open to non-traditional comedy I would highly recommend this show. If you want a standard stand-up comedy show, this is not for you.
Wayne Brady is great, but the entire show felt like an introduction. Was waiting for the climax of the show, but was let down like a bad date. It ended after only 1 hour. The drive to the show was longer then the show! Heard more from audience members then we did from Wayne Brady. We brought friends for their birthday and we all were left very unfulfilled.
Show started 10 min late at 8:10 and over by 9:20. Saw him in Vegas several years ago, amazing show. This seemed to be a struggle for him. Just didn’t think he was on. From a venue, Foxwoods Cedar theater is horrible for anyone with a disability. No easy way to get there and minimal signage.
Excellent show. Very entertaining. Would definitely purchase tickets again.
His improv skills were great! He was funny, the crowd was great , so was the venue. Liked that he kept using different scenarios.
Wayne Brady and Jonathan were both outstanding. So quick witted, and entertaining! Be prepared to belly laugh the entire time. Enjoyed every minute of it!
Never got into the theater as there is a RULE about the SIZE OF A WOMAN'S PURSE. Apparently, it can't be over a certain size. The workers claimed the notice was on the tickets....NOPE. and on the website....NOPE. They actually said "go put it in your car" - at least a 15 minute walk or "drop it off at the front desk of the hotel" - which is wasn't staying in! AND THEY WERE NASTY...so not sure how wayne was but $$ out the window.
Wayne Brady is talented beyond belief. I've been watching him on Whose Line since I was a child and I used to come home from school to watch The Wayne Brady Show. He's been a lifelong favorite and now, as an adult, it was refreshing to see him in person and see he's the same kind-hearted man as he is on TV. I actually sketched a drawing of him nearly 20 years ago and hoped to give it to him during the improv show just last night, or have a faculty member do it for me. Staff said "He may never get it" (meaning he may never receive it). I have no idea what happened to the copy of my drawing, but I hope to give him a copy of the sketch I drew of him one day. I have respect for this man not just for his unbelievable talent, but for his kindness, genuinity, compassion for others, respect for other people and the kind hearted ways he speaks to and treats his fans. I hope to meet him someday to hand him my drawing. I also hope he knows how amazing he is, not just for his talent alone, but for his heart of gold 💛.
He gave me the Niagara Falls casino and oh my God he did not disappoint. Jonathan was wonderful pardon me I forgot the piano guys name but they all worked with each other and made the show absolutely spectacular. It takes a lot to get me a laugh and I did not stop laughing the whole show. Please come back to the western New York area as I have told everyone to go see your show.
I was already a fan of Wayne Brady. Watching him live was AWESOME! He is so witty, Funny, and talented. He can SANG! Wayne, please come to Hawaii!! I would go see him again and again. His show will always be new and different. His associates on stage were equally amazing! They all complemented each other so well. Highly recommend!!!!
For the price of admission, I wasn't impressed. My Wife liked the show.
Entry with the mobile tickets was easy. Seats were great. Wayne Brady never disappoints. I have seen him several times now and the show is always fun!
We had a fabulous experience at the Wayne Brady show!!! Would definitely go again!
