    Great Tennis - Freezing Seats!

by Anonymous on 7/25/14Kastles Stadium at the Smith Center - Washington

The tennis was great! The seats in my area had an overhead fan which was pouring cold air on our heads and backs the entire time! I informed 3 staffers about the situation and one of them told me that they were cold too and the other 2 told me there was nothing they could do. Don't know if I will go next year - or maybe take a winter hat and coat!

We had soo much fun, but I didn't like the noise so much, but I know it goes with the territory. Would attend another one

by shaijag00 on 7/25/14Kastles Stadium at the Smith Center - Washington

We had an unbelievable evening @ the WTT Season Finale. Makes me wish we had done season tickets. Getting in & out of Smith Center was easy and the atmosphere was electric! #RefuseToLose

    Kastles Won!!!

by Cassiebee804 on 7/24/14Kastles Stadium at the Smith Center - Washington

My husband and I really enjoyed this event. This was our second year attending a Kastles' match. Due to injury, the WD could not be played. Other than that, the event was wonderful and we look forward to attending next year!

    Supporting the Washington Kastles

by PG749 on 7/24/14Kastles Stadium at the Smith Center - Washington

Haven't attended any matches previously so can't compare the DC waterfront locale to GWU's Smith Center. Lots of atmosphere at the Center, though there were empty seats. Just a fun evening -- and being indoors was preferable to hot and humid outdoors. Just wish parking were easier!!

    Kastles rock

by ForeigninDC on 7/24/14Kastles Stadium at the Smith Center - Washington

This was a great event and this type of tennis tournament is a lifeline for inspiring the future generations of tennis players in the USA. I hope more professional tennis players see the value in this tournament and the number of teams grow with a more international flavor of young and old players.

    Kastle's Team Tennis is fantastic

by Waternan on 7/24/14Kastles Stadium at the Smith Center - Washington

The quality of tennis is fantastic. The players come to play, but also make it fun. I love being able to see a variety of tennis at the same event. We get to see women's singles, men's singles, women's doubles, men's doubles, and mixed doubles all in one night. All the seats are great. It was sad that we didn't get to see the women's doubles due to an injury on the Boston Lobsters, but that happens. I highly recommend World Team Tennis.

    Quality of players and Fun!!

by Fun4Washington on 7/21/14Kastles Stadium at the Smith Center - Washington

The Tennis matches were fantastic!! Yes, as much as it was possible for us to enjoy it. It happened that my husband and I had a hard time keeping our eyes on the game. There was a "heavy" traffic of people back and forth for various reasons (arriving late, going to buy something taking photos etc. and etc. ) by the section where were seating (Section 221, Row A, Seat 9. If we'll do it again it must be in a different section away for the whole commerce commotion. In spite of all these it was fun!! Thank you

    We had a great time!

by MayasMama on 7/21/14Kastles Stadium at the Smith Center - Washington

I am a huge tennis fan, and more importantly Serena and Venus fan. It was great to be able to see Venus right here in my hometown. Tickets were very reasonable and there really aren't any bad seats in this arena. World Team Tennis is an exciting and innovative concept. The event ran a bit long for my young child, but I definitely had a great time. I'd recommend bringing an electronic device or book for a young kid, as they may get bored like mine did. She was excited to watch Venus. She had zero interest in much else. The highlight of the night was being an arms length away from Venus as she walked by us twice while we stood in line for autographs. She got autographs of Venus, Martina Hingis, and some other tennis stars. Overall this was a great experience and one I would love to have again.

The energy was great and the crowd was into it. Small venue space though....very small.

I had a Ball (Tennis, that is!)

by DrJJ2 on 7/19/14Kastles Stadium at the Smith Center - Washington

What a great event for us tennis lovers. Great seats, easy to find location and short lines at the concession stand. And, of course great tennis. While my preference is the great outdoors down at the wharf...indoors with controlled air conditioning and no insects wasn't too hard to get used to.

Kastles know how to put on a show!

by Tennispro2014 on 7/19/14Kastles Stadium at the Smith Center - Washington

Kastles as always played fantastic tennis. Venus Williams was amazing. Could skip the cheerleaders, but the enthusiasm in the stadium was fantastic. The view in the stadium was good, but bring a sweater and know that the seats are very small and not much knee room.

Kastles bring tennis exposure to so many!

by Pairdc on 7/19/14Kastles Stadium at the Smith Center - Washington

This event gives many a chance at seeing professionals play at an affordable cost. Thank you!

Nice! Since inside, shorter entertainment periods. Players are unable to hit lobs because of the ceiling and the seats on the backside of the Court are obstructed--you cannot easily see the Baseline. No where to park, too much traffic to get to Venue. Really needs to go back to the Waterfront. US AND THEM ENVIRONMENT (you will feel like a Have Not, if you don't have one of the Dream Seats). And, GW has TOO MANY RULES, BORING! 5 Stars were for the Players!

    Something old and something new

by pdmonroe on 7/19/14Kastles Stadium at the Smith Center - Washington

This familiar phrase horns true to the Kastles vs Wild game. To witness wtt tennis it lent a pleasant comparison to usta rule tennis. The 3750 fan filled Smith center [GWU] was the atmosphere of excitement that enlivened the court based service and horned skills of Martini Hingus who was true to her attentive well rounded game as well as that of Venus Williams with reflection of her healthful power. Of course, the Guys brought to the artificial turf the dual of Titans where Booby Reynolds and Leander Paes baseline and approaching court presence held the arena capitive. Something hard held as well for Venus.

    Kastles vs San Diego

by Bal2more on 7/18/14Kastles Stadium at the Smith Center - Washington

Love the Kastles. Kastles were not on their best game on Tuesday. Smith Center was nice (indoor vs outdoors).

Despite the lack of stars, the tennis was fun to watch. The announcer, however, turned out to be very annoying. He was like a high-volume cheerleader, constantly yelling "Refuse to Lose" and exhorting fans to scream. When the Kastles' men's singles player was on court, he loudly chanted "Bob-by, Bob-by!" Overall, all of this really curtailed my enjoyment of the experience. The event was inexpensive, though, and there's a good chance I will attend again. I recommend the Kastles tell the announcer to tone it down.

Interesting but unnecessarily loud and tacky

by MollyShab on 7/18/14Kastles Stadium at the Smith Center - Washington

I liked that they are trying to popularize tennis by allowing more cheering, dancing, etc. But must they scream with a loudspeaker after every point? It started to give us a headache by the end. Cut it down a bit and it could be a good combo of appreciating great shots and cheering for your team.
