    Ehtereal

by Reba on 5/3/22Warner Theatre - Washington

What a beautiful performance. It was all the more wonderful because of the venue - so elegant and intimate. The dancers were "all in" and danced with perfection. THe orchestra played their hearts out and it was a totally delightful evening.

A beautiful performance, but a bit loud

by Ballet fan on 5/1/22Warner Theatre - Washington

The WB are amazing in their ability to remain on point for a long time and this was amazing to watch. The Washington Post review said they were quiet but I went the same evening and from the balcony they sounded like a herd of cows in the 1st act; the second was quieter. Perhaps this is the Warner stage had something to do with it. The ballet began 30 minutes late due to the incompetence of the Warner Box office who could not give us our tickets speedily and this may have affected the dancers I thought the 1st act was less than compelling, but the 2nd was beautiful. .

Balanchine piece was lovely. Airy but with some sass. Very well-executed. Sinatra was my favorite. Each couple brought a distinct flair to the stage.

    Balanchine, Ratmansky, Tharp was stupendous

by Bethesdan on 4/29/17Warner Theatre - Washington

I loved the recent Washington Ballet performance of these three great choreographers. The pieces ranged from classical to modern and in-between. I would recommend it, especially to those who aren't regular ballet-goers. It was stupendous.
