  • Ward Davis at the Rose Hall was the best!

by Shannon on 7/20/25Rose Music Hall - ColumbiaRating: 5 out of 5

I love the Rose Music Hall for the small venue where you really get up close to the artist. And Ward Davis was great as always. His voice is amazing and his stories were fun. I even got to meet him. One of the best concerts ever

  • The “who is that?!?!”

    by T Hatfield on 4/4/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I had a “who is that” moment when I heard Ward play on a mutual friends Facebook page. I immediately went and started listening to everything he had on Apple Music. His ballads are emotional genius and have an old school, country appeal. He gets played on repeat when I’m looking for that slow hand to caress my soul and bring out the exhale waiting to escape. Well done.

  • Ward is the Real Deal

by David Hoyt on 11/13/23White Oak Music Hall - Downstairs - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

I recently discovered Ward after looking into who wrote some songs... and realized he wrote "I'm Not the Devil"with Cody Jinks. I have a feeling that Ward is the idea man behind the songs. They both perform it, and obviously Jinks is more popular, but I like Ward's take on it and I like his voice. I like Ward's songwriting on several tracks – and in concert I thought he sounded really good. I get the feeling Ward is more of a 'country purist', and wants to harken back to Waylon, Hank & Merle and maybe emulate them a little in spirit... I could be wrong, but I like what he's putting out there. Enjoyed the show. I think we'll start seeing him in the country festivals etc. (if he wants to do them).
