At first I didn't know what to expect, then the zany interactions among kept multiplying, along with the farcical characterizations of the different actors. Jealousies, ego-trips, one-up-manships, drunkenness--all comically presented in this very British burlesque. It's both clownish and sophisticated in its fast-paced humor.
Theatre is small so every seat is close with a great view of the stage. Sound could have been a little louder to hear the dialogue better. Venue had snacks and beverages available but were way overpriced! $8 for a 8 oz coffee and package of 2 small pretzels. No price lust posted. Plan to eat elsewhere!
This is a really fun and funny show. My husband and and I loved the performance and the casual setting of the Walnut Street Theatre. The staff were very helpful, friendly, and informative. Looking forward to the next show here.
The Walnut Street Theater production of "Noises Off" proved to me once again why a live stage presentation will beat a movie version every time. Mary Martello and Ben Dibble led a cast of Walnut regulars, moving at breakneck speed and with precision timing, to bring to life what is probably the ultimate Broadway farce.
The play made you laugh the whole time.. I went with my daughters and they even said it was good..
Lost count of how many times I’ve seen Noises Off. I laugh just as hard every single time. The Walnut’s presentation was great! Don’t miss this show
my wife and I found ourselves laughing to the point of pain. I am not a big comedy fan but this has always been one of my favorites. This cast was spot on with perfect timing.
We saw this for the first time about 15 years ago in a small theater and it was beyond hilarious...This production was good, some funny parts, but not as good as the first production. Anyway, good for laughs and surprises and a unique way of showing a play...
left at intermission! Noises off..........slept through part of Act One..........waste of time..
Couldn't stop laughing! Don't know how the cast maintains that level of physical comedy for 2 and a half hours. Great production!
