Absolutely magnificent! ALL of the young performers were tremendously extraordinary! Most assuredly, they have a great future. I am ready to see another show (and I’m not just saying this because my niece was in the show…really.)
I didn’t enjoy it, but my granddaughter did and that’s the reason why we were there. I did not realize it was going to be performed entirely by children. They were very talented. I’m glad it was only an hour.
Madagascar was a marvelous experience performed by professional level teenage theatre students for a totally involved and appreciative audience of children and adults! The cast members were so talented and so in character that it was easy to believe the story of the escape from Central Park Zoo to Madagascar journey. The lead actors had beautiful voices and great presence. The adorable Penguins made music and comedy skate together. Everyone sang and danced so well. The cast had the audience totally captivated and dancing along. This was a magical experience for both the children and the adults who brought them to experience live theatre. Walnut Street Theatre Children's Productions are a wonderful way to introduce children to the true magic of live performances that translate an imaginary story into a reality and a lifelong memory for children. Madagascar, Jr. was a five star experience for children and adults too!
Very professional, entertaining show. My five year old loved it and so did I. All of the characters were phenomenal especially Marty the Zebra. Love the theatre. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house.
I was expecting a more professional production. The play was ok for young children under 6. I felt like I was watching a high school pkay.
Everything-Starting from the set and ending with the last sound, and all in between-music, lyrics, performers, costumes, etc.-where so exciting! so hilariously funny, sincere and simply GOOD!!!
My two grandchildren, my sister, and I absolutely LOVED Madagascar! It was a great show! I love being able to introduce the arts to my grandchildren and The Walnut offers great children plays of 1 hour shows. We all have a great time! And thank you for offering this opportunity!
What a great show. From the sets to the costumes, timing, the chemistry and talent among the performers, this show is perfectly suited for both its target audience and the adults who accompany them. One hour in duration, it kept my 6 year old granddaughter fully immersed, at times giggling and otherwise reacting with great enthusiasm.
I took my great niece to see A Christmas Carol there last December. She loved it and saw the ad for Madagascar. She wanted to go. So I took her and her mom to see it. It was a great show for the price and for one hour. Long enough for kids. I highly recommend it. I’m hoping for more shows to bring her.
