About

ELF is the charming tale of Buddy, a young orphan who mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. Buddy is raised unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa's permission, he embarks on a journey to New York City with dreams to find his birth father and discover his true identity. What's an adopted elf to do when he realizes his father is on Santa's 'naughty' list and his half-brother doesn't believe that there is a Santa Claus? It's up to Buddy to save Christmas! Find your inner ELF as the writers of Annie and The Wedding Singer adapt the hit film into the unforgettable gift of a Broadway musical for the holiday season!

    Elf was Outstanding

by BrogansOma on 1/2/14Walnut Street Theatre - Philadelphia

The performers we saw in Elf were outstanding. It was my grand daughters first trip to the theater and she loved it. At 5, she said " we have to do this every year." She spent a good deal of time explaining the story line to me. The voices of everyone is the cast were amazing. Costumes were great. It was just a really fun afternoon. Outstanding performers...can't say it often enough.

    Elf was Good Family Fun!

by BigHockeyFan18 on 12/31/13Walnut Street Theatre - Philadelphia

Great Musical. Great Songs and Funny. Only downside was that there was a good bit of cursing. I took my three young children and didn't expect bad language.

A great holiday experience with our grandson!

by PopPopFK on 12/31/13Walnut Street Theatre - Philadelphia

My wife and I took our 6-year old grandson to see Elf as a Christmas gift to both him and ourselves. We all had a wonderful time listening and watching this lively story on stage at the Walnut Street Theater. My grandson sat mesmerized as he watched the action on stage. It was an enjoyable outing for all of us!

Fun play for the whole family

by Anonymous on 12/29/13Walnut Street Theatre - Philadelphia

My husband and I took our 15 year old and 12 year old daughters along with my 83 year old Mom and sister. We really all enjoyed the play. It was festive and a great holiday adventure. My only concern was some of the language. There were several curse words in the play and I just don't think that they were appropriate or necessary for a play which attracts many age groups. I would prefer that my 12 year old not be exposed to curse words. I really felt that it detracted from the play.

Could not even see the play in the box seats

by Anonymous on 12/29/13Walnut Street Theatre - Philadelphia

This was the worst play experience I have ever had. We paid full price & were put in box A seats 9 & 10. We could not see the entire stage even sitting on the uncomfortable "props" that were provided. During intermission, we experienced disorganization & rude staff when trying to obtain a snack. My family & I will not go to another play here. It will be worth the drive to new York for future productions.

Elf was brought to life with it's musical numbers!

by AlessandraV on 12/29/13Walnut Street Theatre - Philadelphia

Overall the play was very good. I enjoyed the music very much as well as the choreography. It was a pleasure to watch. I also liked how some parts of the story were changed a bit so there were still some surprises (for those of us that had already read the book and seen the movie).

Took 3 of our teenage grandkids to the show. We were all blown away. It was outstanding. The singing and dancing were wonderful, and we all laughed so hard at the comedic parts. It was a real treat and we thank you for putting on such a grand show.
