About

The hottest show in New York last season was the break-out comedy, Bad Jews. It is one of the most-produced new plays in America – and we're excited to bring you the Philadelphia premiere! Meet Daphna Feygenbaum, a "Real Jew" with an Israeli boyfriend that she met on Birthright. When Daphna's cousin Liam brings home his shiksa girlfriend Melody, he declares ownership of their grandfather's Chai necklace. A vicious and hilarious brawl over family, faith and legacy ensues. Bad Jews – it's about what you choose to believe when you're chosen.

We (me, my husband, my 17-yr-old and her boyfriend) all loved it! Hilarious AND thought-provoking! Smartly written ... well-acted. So glad we went!

Great acting! Very funny shop. We were pleasantly surprised, as we had no idea what we were getting. I hope those who are looking for exceptional Broadway actors saw this performance!

I did not enjoy 90 minutes of bickering, where was the comedy?

    Excellent production, engaging and intelligent

by DMPhilly on 11/3/14Walnut Street Theatre - Philadelphia

Really enjoyed the production. It's a compelling story that is well acted and thought-provoking. The only negative was the space itself because it was too small to comfortably accommodate the audience. I'm a pretty small person (5'4", 125 lbs) and I found myself crunched from both sides and felt I watched the entire producting folded in half. Fortunataly the play was engaging enough it made me forget how uncomfortable I was.
