About

Wale on Tour

There's only one Wale. Since arriving in 2006, he has consistently gone against the grain. An old school lyricist with new school energy, otherworldly hooks and a sense of irony tailormade for its own Seinfeld episode, he instantly set himself apart. 2008's inventive Mixtape About Nothing cemented him as a critical favorite and preceded the major label debut Attention Deficit in 2009. Bowing at #2 on the Billboard 200, the now-classic and gold-certified Ambition yielded the GRAMMY® Award-nominated platinum-selling "Lotus Flower Bomb." Two more blockbusters followed as The Gifted [2013] and The Album About Nothing [2015] both crashed the Billboard 200 at #1 back-to-back. Shine [2017] gave the world "My PYT," which is RIAA certified platinum, as Wale continued dropping heat. Along the way, Wale covered magazines such as Complex, Billboard, XXL and Vibe, and would receive honors at the BET Awards, BET HipHop Awards, Soul Train Awards and more. To date, Wale has achieved four platinum or multiplatinum singles, three gold singles and two gold albums. Wale continues to break ground with the release of 2019's critically-acclaimed Wow... That's Crazy, which includes #1 single "On Chill" featuring Jeremih. What's more, Wale has accumulated over 7 million monthly listeners on Spotify and has reached over half a billion channel views on YouTube.

Wale also made history as "the first rapper to open the State Of The Union," gracing the stage with an unforgettable performance before President Obama's final State Of The Union Address. A regular guest of the First Family, he participated in First Lady Michelle Obama's "Reach Higher" initiative for higher education as well. Expanding his cultural influence, Wale teamed up with Villa for a limited-edition line of sneakers. These included the Asics "Bottle Rocket," the Timberland "Gift Box Set" and the VILLA x Wale x ASIC Gel Lyte III "IC Champion." Wale's label imprint, Every Blue Moon, encompasses the scope of his creative vision with musicians, comedians and screenwriters under its umbrella.

by bugzee on 12/3/11Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

the event would get a 5 star but since i wasnt sattisfied all the way i couldnt. the show says 8pm it start but we didnt start going in the facility until 9pm then amatuers took the whole concert because meek mills didnt start performing until 11:30pm. so by the time wale was going to come on stage i left. i idnt stay to watch him because i was aggravated by amatuers coming on stage and not sounding good.

Wale was good, venue was awful

by MissMel on 12/3/11Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

The concert began almost 2 1/2 hours late because according to the staff, entry was unorganized. Doors opened at 8, concert didnt start until about 10:30 and we waited in line for about 45 minutes. Revolution sold more tickets than they had space for. Black Cobain was okay as a performer and in my opinion could have been left off of the tour. Pusha T and Meek Mills hyped the crowd up for Wale, but I don't think Wale really gave it his all; he gave a $35 performance. I'll wait until he performs at a larger arena to see him again.

It was a real good concert... The only flaw came when the two.boys started fighting shortly after wale begin to perform "the breakup song" (awkward)

    Wale concert was hype!

    by Kalexis21 on 11/21/11The Clubhouse - Tempe

Wale's performance was great! I would definitely go see him again. He got the crowd hype and it stayed that way the entire show. He performed almost ALL of my favorite songs. I appreciate that Wale doesn't just perform whats popular at the moment, but he does all the stuff that made you love him and buy tickets to the show. I hope he comes to a larger venue next time.

    AWESOME SHOW...~SPEECHLESS~

by SunshineJo on 11/4/11Paradise Rock Club - Boston

WALE...He did such a great job when he performed. He had the audience's full attention and had everyone rapping/singing along with him. Also, I was lucky enough to get his autograph twice because he was very open with engaging with the crowd.

    Off Night

    by Angeleyez4life on 11/4/11Littlejohn Coliseum at Clemson University - Clemson @ , SC - Thu, Sep 15, 2011 - Clemson

Cyhi was great! A lot of the opening groups had sets that were too long... Wale didn't come out until like 11:30 which was too late with him being the headliner. Then when he did come out, it was like he didn't really want to perform or be there. I know everyone has a bad day but people pay to support you and to see a great show which I know he can give because I've seen him before. If you have something going on that bad, I'd prefer you cancel and let me get my money back than give me a show that I feel cheated me but you still get to keep my money. Additionally, the crowd was so drunk by the time he came out that also was aggravating. They had been carrying and throwing people out all evening. I would recommend Wale in Concert overall cause I know he can provide a great show but I guess just not in SC or at a College or whatever was the issue on this night.

by SSims100000 on 11/3/11Paradise Rock Club - Boston

It did start off a little slow with the opening act but once wale came it was amazing!!! He connected so much with us and didnt just rap throughout it but signed autographs and took videos and picture with fans throughout the show. It felt like we were partying with him.

One of the best shows I have ever attended. Wale has such a love for Boston. On top of everything else, he turned the performance into his record release party. The crowd was electric and alive. I can not wait until he returns to Boston.

    Wale is a GENIUS !

by AyyDot on 11/2/11Paradise Rock Club - Boston

The show was amazing! I got there at around 3:45pm and waited in line until 7pm when thet finally let us in. I got to stand in the very front row, touching the stage. When Wale came out, after his first song he signed my copy of Ambition. The Board of Administration started pouring drinks for front row people that were old enough. Wale came around and poured me a cup of Ciroc. I got so many pictures and videos up close of him. He sang "Pretty Girls" to my girlfriend (LOL - can't say much, he's Wale). Then on top of all of that, I got to get on Stage and celebrated with them at Midnight for the album release. Champagne and Ciroc flying every where and I was literally next to Wale as if I was apart of the set. Amazing show, thanks Paradise Rock Club.

    Wale rocked the house

by EllePee on 9/22/11Center Stage - Atlanta

I saw Wale at Center Stage Atlanta and he was great! He performs with a live band they you were great. He had the crowd hype and even ran up to the top of the stands at the end of his set. He was rapping while taking pictures with people in the crowd! I enjoyed his concert and think everyone should check out one of his shows.
