    Pearl jam was spectacular!!!!

by DrewskyDrew on 11/5/13New Orleans City Park - New Orleans

The entire day was amazing but watching Calvin Harris destroy and then Pearl Jam put on one of the greatest rock shows I've ever seen from the opening chords sirens to corduroy to to daughter to yellow Ledbetter at the end and everything in between. The crowd singing along with every song, eddie vedder dancing with furries and swinging on giant light bulbs over the stage and steve gleasons introduction,if you missed it I feel sorry for you because I will remember that show for the rest of my life

NIN was great, but where was the LED curtain???

by PoyoTexano on 11/5/13New Orleans City Park - New Orleans

It was the first time I attended to a NIN show, they rock!. The sound was perfect! But why was the stage different from other NIN tour dates? Where was the LED curtain? They are using it in all the other shows!.

    VooDoo Festival Day 1

by PattyWak on 11/5/13New Orleans City Park - New Orleans

Pearl Jam and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - It's not really fair to make a review on the entire day, because i only came in the evening to see Pearl Jam, who I had not seen since their debut tour opening up for Soundgarden. I can say that the guys are seasoned but the band was still very active. Eddie is now playing guitar, which he was not on the first tour, and is not nearly as active as the rest of the band members. But then again, he does not have to be. ;-) It was still a really good show and they played the one song I wanted to hear mostly, which is "Black". We saw a couple of songs by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and I am glad we caught the last two songs. The grounds were very spread out and there was no map where to find anything, ...unless I missed that part, but they had plenty of food and drinks. I got my festival T-shirt and I am a happy girl. A rock concert but still good family fun with many young kids there. Good to see our future is still rockin'. :-)

    Great music, unsanitary place.

by ParamoreT on 11/5/13New Orleans City Park - New Orleans

All of the music was outstanding, but you could have made sure people picked up their trash better.

    Big Gigantic- New Favorite

by Whitetiger007 on 11/5/13New Orleans City Park - New Orleans

We had a blast again this year! Nothing beats the dance DJ's- Big Gigantic and Afrojack killed it. We were sad we missed out on Calvin Harris and Bassnectar. Dance Stage= FUN ZONE Interesting art displays and festival staff was helpful and courteous. As usual the port-a-john's were out of toilet paper and not well maintained....to be expected at most festivals. Beer prices were reasonable...but there should have been at least 1 other choice besides Redbull for a mixer with Vodka. I would have also liked to see more vendors selling light toys.

    NIN always on point

by gnr157 on 11/5/13New Orleans City Park - New Orleans

NIN played a great set, could of been a bit longer though. City Park curfew not cool. Good crowd, friendly people and perfect weather. Festival tickets are over priced. Single day tickets cost way too much!!!!! Would hesitate to return based on pricing of tickets. Simply put they are outrageous. Too much focus on VIP packages and credentials(all which cost more $$$$), fans that want to see some music get treated like bottom feeders :( Also the Voodoo iphone App was worthless, looks like it was thrown together just so they could say they have an app. Lot of opportunity for improvement on the App and website.

Venue needs to work kinks out

by Anonymous on 11/5/13New Orleans City Park - New Orleans

Love the grounds, stage setups and food were great. Restrooms were horrible. Needed more ground lighting. Taxi cab areas need to be established.

    Voodoo Festival Pearl Jam

by peanutmm on 11/4/13New Orleans City Park - New Orleans

IT was a great event. Mclemore and Lewis was a bit silly since they can't sing and I could have done without techno pop stage but Pearl Jam was incredible as was Preservation Hall. The food and beer were great. Parking, Cab and Busses could be worked out a lot better. There were no Cabs regularly fueling the cab stand after the event.

Pearl Jam totally rocked Voodoo Fest.

by Pio15 on 11/4/13New Orleans City Park - New Orleans

We took our youngest son to see Pearl Jam after a 20 year old got over his embarrassment of being at Voodoo with his parents. We totally enjoyed our experience. Voodoo Fest had some of the cleanest Porta-lets I have ever seen. Pearl Jam was totally awesome.

Stages too close together...no garbage cans

by msannanola on 11/4/13New Orleans City Park - New Orleans

Mixed Review overall Pearl Jam was awesome. The sound was good and while they were playing loud songs it was good. Soft songs caused other stages to interfere with the sound. Maclemore was pretty crappy. The sound was so loud when he rapped it was jibberish. If I had paid money to see him I would have been pissed off. The electronica stage was out of control. Really crappy house music being blared so loud you needed ear plugs on the other side of the park at the main stage just to not get a headache. There was absolutely no way to wash your hands after going to the bathroom. No hand sanitizer and no portable hand washing stations. This for a festival they expect you to stay at from noon to 11 pm. So after you go pee and touch the porta potty if you are hungry you are taking a big risk of getting sick. This is unacceptable. No trash cans at all. I was eating at the main stage and had to walk all the way back to the food area and then walk around some more to find a single garbage can. Disgusting. This was the first day. By Sunday I bet it was really disgusting. One good thing about the new festival grounds is no low lying areas full of mud. That is a big improvement. As far as the rest goes I think the new management has a thing or two to learn.

    allen stone is awesome

by jerryjesshea on 11/4/13New Orleans City Park - New Orleans

Hadn't heard of Allen Stone before Voodoo, but stopped by his stage for a few minutes and ended up there for the entire show. This guy's really got it. Lyrics with great music sent me to my Mac when I got home. I googled this guy and discovered the treasure trove that is Allen Stone. Great voice, stage presence and, yikes, this guy's only 25. Put him in your crystal ball and see where he goes from here. Absolutely fantastic in every way.

One of the best outddor venues we have attended

by sreisinger on 11/4/13City ParK - New Orleans

This was our first time to the Voodoo Music Festival and were pleasantly surprised at the set-up and how effeciently wverything was run. The grounds were large enough that you did not feel over crowded, the stages were set so that they did not compete with one another, and the crowd was in a great mood. We will definitely return. Lastly, getting taxis to and from was easy.
