About

Danish metal fusion act Volbeat has grown from a well-known regional band in Scandinavia to an international touring outfit sharing the bill with music giants Megadeth and Metallica. The four-piece group mixes metal, hard rock and a touch of punk with rock and roll inspiration from icons like Elvis, creating a well-liked combination that easily sells tickets. And when the Northern European performers aren’t in the recording studio, they’re tackling headlining concerts and taking part in the international festival circuit.  Volbeat’s nearly decade-long discography boasts five studio albums, all of which have achieved at least gold status in their native Denmark. The band’s 2013 effort, “Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies,” marked the first collection to chart in the U.S. That set, which former Anthrax guitarist and new Volbeat member Robert Caggiano co-produced, made it to the top of Billboard’s Hard Rock Albums chart.

    VOLBEAT! this band never disappoints.

by kjonesna on 4/9/14City National Grove of Anaheim - Anaheim

This is my favorite band in the world! I would see them again and again. This band cares about delivering a good show and always does. The first time I saw them was when they opened for Metallica at the Honda center in 2009, and they made me stand up and say " who are these guys?!" They are amazing!

    Amazing Band/ Amazing Show

by Jinifer on 4/9/14City National Grove of Anaheim - Anaheim

Volbeat kicks ass in every way and their stage show does not disappoint. They have so much energy, smile a lot, and interact with the crowd. You can tell they are having a great time and love what they do. Michael Poulsen is obviously the man, but the guitar player from Brooklyn is amazing!! And the bass player hams it up the whole time- singing along, dancing and being silly- he's fun to watch. It's hard to believe that they do this night after night. They showed so much appreciation for the fans and even came out after their encore to shake hands with the people in the front. AND- they came to the parking lot to meet the fans after!! My love for them grew after seeing this show and I didn't think that was possible.

    Volbeat WILL NOT disappoint!!

by ConcertFreak111 on 4/8/14The City National Grove - Anaheim

Volbeat put on an excellent show! There are many bands out there that don't live up to their full potential & sound like crap when seeing them live, but NOT Volbeat! Great interaction with the crowd. "Preacher Mike" kept us entertained! Their bass player had these jokingly facial expressions throughout the show that was good to see that he was having fun with the crowd! During their set, Mike had mentioned that the band will be out by their tour buses to hang out with the fans after the show. My buddy & I never stuck around, but that would have been cool if it did happen! Gotta say this venue was amazing too! Not a bad view in the entire place, 2 large screens off to the sides of the stage with crystal clear clarity, good sound, pretty mellow crowd, except for the mosh pit going on right behind us, & here's something I've NEVER experienced at a show & I've been attending concerts for 24+ years: There was an actual ORGANIZED line to get swag!! Normally it's just a free forall at the table, but not here. Maybe it was the people in SoCal, I don't know, but good to see! For the Opening Bands: Got there to hear just 2 songs from Digital Summer & they sounded good! After the bands set, they were out in the lobbly signing autographs, having pictures taken, & selling their own swag. I had purchased one of their CD's, which they took the time to sign as well & it's a solid rock CD! AND...found out that their drummer is only 13 years young! WOW! Trivium: Just my opinion...I wasn't a fan & my buddy & I bailed after 2 songs. In the end...Go & see this tour - It has a little something for everyone!

    Can't Get Enough of Volbeat!

by Lena13 on 4/7/14Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino - Mescalero

Digital Summer was pretty good considering I had never heard of them before, Trivium puts on a good show, but Volbeat is my absolute favorite! I never tire of seeing them live and I think this show was so much better than the last time I saw them! It was a smaller venue than the last time I saw them but they totally rocked the place!

If you get the chance, go see Volbeat! Awesome band, awesome concert, awesome experience. This was my second time seeing them live, and I will go back every time they are in my area (first time was in Lubbock, TX). I got to meet Michael Poulsen this time around, which was really, really cool!

by lucian66 on 4/6/14Fillmore Auditorium (Denver) - Denver

I have seen Volbeat before and as always they deliver a killer show! They dont put a whole lot of filler in between songs so you get the most music for your ticket dollar and the music they play is spot on and tight. if you ever get a chance to see them dont pass it up you will not be disappointed!

    Volbeat is a MUST SEE!

by blnewt on 4/5/14Inn of the Mountain Gods - Mescalero

Have their last 2 CDs and have been a fan of Volbeat for the last couple years. I've been to aprox 40 concerts over many years and this was right near the top. Digital Summer started the show and got the night off to a good start, played about 30 minutes. Trivium was next and played about twice as long as Digital Summer, they were very good and a nice progression, a bit heavier than Digital Summer and also Volbeat, but very talented. Volbeat was the well-deserved headliner and didn't disappoint, from start to finish they were on fire, just got the whole place rocking in unison. You can tell the band really enjoys putting on a killer show and they didn't let up all night, played for about 2 hrs and about 20+ songs w/ a 3 song encore. The talent and showmanship of Volbeat is only appreciated when you see them live. Their studio CDs are extremely well done but their energy and flawless performance on stage sets them apart, the show is just SO enjoyable. Fans from kids all the way up to folks in their late 50s were just having the time of their lives at this show. If you''re within a days drive you need to put this band on your concert list, you won't be disappointed! I'm already checking tour dates down the road to see them again :)
